Gateway has been a godsend for my son, who has ADHD and learning disabilities. The educational environment has supported him and helped him learn in a way that the traditional public school setup could not. Everyone we've met has been helpful. It's worth the sacrifice.

My son spent 4 years at Gateway Academy and it changed his life. The school is innovative, caring and professional. We could not have had a better experience with better people anywhere.

My child is currently a student at The Gateway Academy. Gateway has wonderful , caring, teachers and staff. They understand what a student with learning differences needs to be successful. There is a lot of positive parental involvement. Since my child started there, they have added many programs to help the students be successful after graduation and empower the parents to handle the next steps. I'm so thankful for all the support my child received and the excellent education Gateway provided. Having her attend Gateway was the best thing we could have done for her. As a parent, seeing how far she's come along in her education and personal growth is priceless.

Gateway is a good place as long as you fit into the mold that they want. If your child has any type of emotional problems (and you're not a big financial contributor), then they will find an excuse to keep you from returning. If you have money to give them, then your child will be taken care of there. They have some very caring and educated teachers there. Our issues were with the director and psychologist there.

I don't know what we would have done with Gateway for the last two year. My daughter is finally learning the way she learns. These teachers are specialized and teach to the student. True hidden gem in the Northwest. They also help with social skills and giving kids life skills, something we cannot even count on a mainstream high school to do.

Although I am a teacher at Gateway, I am also a parent. My children's academic and social needs do not match the school's mission but I would be delighted to have any member of the faculty teach them.
