    I am so glad I found Heritage Oaks School!! My daughter is in 6th grade (this is her 1st year at Heritage Oaks) and has been in a GT (gifted and talented) program since Kindergarten. Never has a school challenged her like Heritage Oaks. The curriculum is outstanding. It's a project-based curriculum that has the students actually apply what they've learned into particular projects that interest the kids. I haven't seen my daughter so excited about going to school-ever. All the students are treated like the individuals that they are and they thrive in the environment of encouragement, mutual respect, and high self expectation! You can't beat it. Love, love, love the school.

    My son said the other day.."Finally, I LOVE school again!". He is so excited about learning again and being at Heritage Oaks that my younger son is chomping at the bit to be old enough to attend! My oldest son comes home and explains in great detail how he is learning so much through thinking and applying the practical disciplines to the projects. And although he realizes he is learning and applying basic principles, he is doing of this while having fun. Yes, there are guidelines and marks to make sure the students are on task academically, but it is NOT teaching to the test. Accountability ...yes. Critical thinking skills...yes.Creativity...yes. Imagination...yes. The way education should be...yes. Thank you so much Heritage Oaks!
