The school was the best when I was in 6th grade last year and the bullying system is so good there is no bullying!Trust me, this school is worth it, no fights, no shenanigans

My experience at this school is amazing. The community is fantastic everyone is so nice, considerate, friendly, and grateful. Every time I step into a classroom I always know that I am going to be learning something new.

We moved to Texas in the middle of my sons 7th grade year from California. Nelson MS had far exceeded any expectations I had, and as a former educator I have found my standards to be quite high in the past. The teachers are incredibly dedicated and maintain communication with parents, but the most I pressure piece has to be the principal, Mrs. Gardner. She is so approachable for parents and students and actively participates in every aspect of the school from greeting at the front office to helping with the school pickup and drop off each day in addiction we always see her smiling and cheering at sports events. When the school went virtual during covid we had only been in the district for 5 days and the transition was very stressful for my son as well as myself. I sent one email to the principal and she called me personally and walked me through any concerns including logging in online. She didn’t make me feel rushed but rather I felt so confident that my son was in the right hands.
