My daughter did her elementary till 2nd grade at James Leitch. It is a great school with very good facility and teachers. The teaching was excellent and it has one of the best teachers I have ever seen. They keep parents well informed on the progress of students. My daughter really enjoyed there before she moved to Warm Springs Elementary for 3rd grade. The school has valet drop off and pickup which is a life saver during busy morning times.

This school is one of the worst I've ever scene. There's the old hag of a woman, if you could call it that, who looks and talks like it's homeless. This thing is named HARIS. Despite the "high test scores" none of them come from the school and it's teachers, is the parents sending their kids to koumon. Plus, this school looks like a land fill, and the teachers are all duds. Would never recommend to anyone!

I have had a great experience at this school for my son because he has learnt basic math, language, science, environmental awareness, leadership, self-learning approach and most importantly, respecting others and making good friends etc. teachers are also very supportive and school management is also great and always tries to bridge home, school and community. This school is a real blessing for our family. My elder one started(now in 1st grade) here and now my younger one is starting this year . My son's teacher is extremely good and knowledgeable. She has helped my son a lot and we can see constant improvements. Starting from field trips to what she teaches in the class, there is always many things to learn for the curious one. His is in Room No 21. Thank you Teacher of Room No 21 for helping our little one in his path.

Great school and good teachers overall. Moved here from another school ( grade 1) and found the teacher to be much more engaging and friendly.

I think there are both really good and average teachers in this school. Room 21 teacher is unreasonable and rude to the kids and parents equally. Sensitive kids are effected very much as they are scared to go to school for very small mistakes as they might get a time-off . This teacher is more suitable for higher grades where they can tolerate such strict person . I am not sure why the School District tolerated such unreasonable attitude. I hear from many past parents that she was a very rude and unreasonable teacher since many years!

All good - except avoid the teacher in room 21 - 1st grade , she is a very bad teacher and she cannot be fired because of her contacts with FUSD .. disappointed.

My elder son is in 3rd grade and we are happy with his progress so far. It always boils down to the teacher and his 2nd grade teacher is good. 3rd grade is kind of OK.

My Son really enjoy the school time and he learn many staff. only one year, he picked up language art, math, science and social life. compare to private school, James Leitch provides kid very good environment.

My kid has a good teacher. He likes the school and so do we(parents). I think the school needs to update its infrastructure.

My school is James Leitch Elementry school. It is a great school for kids. It has a friendly environment where kids love to go school everyday even on weekends. It is focused not only in academics but also in personality development , extra curricular activities as well as socializing with other kids. Thanks, Usha

This is a wonderful school with top-notch, dedicated teachers and volunteers. As parents, we are assured that our daughter is happy, safe, and progressing well here at James Leitch. My daughter is studying here at kindergarten. She has teachers who work hard to make learning fun through enrichment, and they have thrived in what I would call a joyful environment. James Leitch is a fantastic school that touches every student and challenges students at their levels. I am very pleased to have my daughter going here and feel like the staff truly cares about the students. James Leitch's high test scores are also an indication of a high-achieving student population from highly educated parents .

This is an excellent school, except for one teacher. She used to complain too much about my son. Later I learned from other parents that no one liked this teacher.

Fantastic school..the teachers really know in what area kids need help with. Ms.Rand and Ms.Schoenhuth are really dedicated teachers.The teachers love to have parent volunteers in their class and promptly inform parents what is happening in the classroom..

The teachers and the principle poorly discipline bullies. Some teachers are impolite to the parents. It is quite difficult to communicte with them on some concerns. They seem to not truly care about the students but they ask for a lot of donations. However, the parents are a great, supportive part of this community.

James Leitch is a unique and wonderful school. With grades split between Leitch and Warm Springs, Leitch only has K to 2 ( now 3rd grade as well) and that makes it a great school for little kids to start kindergarten without the intimidation of seeing so many "really big" kids. Our son went to James Leitch from K through 2nd. We have now moved to another schoold district otherwise we were planning on sending him to the 3rd grade at Leitch. All the teachers he has had (Ms. Gunawan, Mrs. Norton & Ms. Quan) have been outstanding. I had the opportunity to volunteer in the classrooms and got to observe the process and see how each child grew in their care. They were very sensitive and accomodating to the needs of each student, highly motivated and dedicated to make sure they personally knew the personality and learning style every child - even as the class sizes grew. SInce we moved, my respect for JL grows after having observed another school district - also highly acclaimed, with great teachers and better funded - yet we find that the James Leitch teachers stand head and shoulders above those we have seen anywhere else.

Mrs. Croft at James Leitch Elementary school is a wonderful teacher. My daughter enjoys going to school everyday.
