Both my children love this school. They are both thriving and love going to school everyday. Thank you so much to the staff and principal at Marshall Pomeroy for making such an engaging and wonderful learning environment!

Pomeroy is an amazing school.at times of covid the way pomeroy has managed and dealt with this threat none other school did. Principal Nickol and the kind teachers did an amazing job and still continues to do the same.So thankful to have my child in this school.

Principal Nichol is worst thing that happened to this school. Absolutely no parent engagement, no participation in any interschool or STEM/Robotics competitions, school does not even actively participates in MUSD STEM events. On top of this, Principal is absolutely inaccessible. This school instructed sick kids to attend class and leave early, putting health of all the kids at risk.

Pomeroy is home to our family! The teachers are caring and involved. The principal had always paid attention when we needed her, and she will do whatever she can to help the students. My kid has ADHD and the school has been amazing to accommodate his needs. They truly go out of their way to help their families. This coming year my son will be starting 5th grade, he has been with Pomeroy since kinder and he loves his school.

Worst school ever. The teachers are enough to low the self esteem of student. My son is a A grade level student, and he is disciplined and punctual. All in all , he is a all time teachers favorite in all grades. It was best decision to move him from that school to warm spring elementary after realising that he was losing his self esteem. Now he is in 8th grade and he is doing great in all competition and he is confident.

We very much like this school. My kids attend Kinder & 4th, they enjoy going to school. There seems to be a balance between academics & extra-curricular activities.

Very good overall. Like some have mentioned needs updates and better way of handling student belongings but the importance of teaching and guiding the students is more important. Money is needed to take care of the rest and hopefully these will be addressed by the recent passing of the bond.

Very poor, no community because of the schools leadership.

We have had a horrible year at Pomeroy. We have had sit downs with the teacher and principals yo no avail. This school stands behind the teacher even if she's a bully and has had no training on how to deal with children with ADHD or anything similar. This school likes to say they are against bullying, but when they condone their teachers doing the bullying then how can they address the student bullying problems? As long as their scores stay high then they do what they want. I feel horrible my son had to endure this teacher at this school all year long. These kids are being set up for the rest of their school career starting in kindergarten, and in this teachers class I feel they are being mentally abused. If your child goes here I hope they don't have her as a teacher.

My daughter started in KG and now she is going to graduate grade 6 .My son's have also had 3 years here.I have seen 3 principles come and go..but each better then the last. Teachers are very motivated and highly skilled. The environment is strict for behavior so kids do learn good mannerisms.

Teachers are good, Both computer based and traditional teaching, a variety of home to develop wide variety of schools, cultural activities, encouragement for good discipline and good after school programs. Overall this school has every thing needed for young lads to develop skills and character.

We had an amazing Kindergarten experience. I was really impressed with the way that concepts are taught. Especially things like problem-solving, team work and collaboration skills. I do wish the kids got a little more time to play outside. We are looking forward to the 1st grade.

Less teacher teaching more computer based learning. I ready lessons take up to 1 hour homework time. 1hour of computer teaching is no match to 1 hour class teacher teaching.

Teachers, staff, parents, and the community are competent, energetic, and hopeful! It's one of the top scores ranking in the school district. We are proud to be part of the family!

Marshall Pomeroy is an amazing elementary school. My son has attended Pomeroy since kindergarten and I have watched him grow academically and personally. I know he is getting an great education when he tells me the amount of attention he gets from his teachers on a regular basis. He has grasped more understanding in literary and math concepts as a third grader, than I had ever imagine he would so early. As a parent, I am very pleased and grateful that my son attends Marshall Pomeroy Elementary School.

The teachers and staff at Marshall Pomeroy are top-notch. Their care for the students and their interest in providing the best education possible is evident. The school is moving forward with technology and embracing the Common Core Standards and the whole school population just seems completely energized and enthusiastic about the changes occurring. I believe that my children are getting a great academic education at this school. I'm a bit disappointed that there is not more liberal arts in the curriculum (music, art, etc), but that seems to be the status quo in this district, not just at this school. Communication between the administration and parents is excellent -- with a monthly newsletter, monthly Principal Chat, regular email blasts and an up-to-date web site. The PTA is also very active and parent volunteers are always welcome.
