Kids would make fun of my kid and she would tell because its happened almost all year, and all the teachers and staff would do is talk the students. It was the same kids all year that would make fun for her. The thing that make it worst is that it was boys messing with a girl to the point that she came crying home. Also some girl said they were gonna fight her.

My son has been in the dual-language immersion program at the school and has been doing great. The school has an active community, and engaged teachers and leadership. I would, and do, recommend this school to everyone.

I love Foster, I'm a very involved parent and me and my sister are way pleased with how quickly anything that we have concerns with get dealt with quickly and usually with a great solution that they always involve our kids with to make sure he's comfortable.... I love that we can volunteer with anything that we want very pleased with the staff as well always very helpful with anything the kids may need

We choiced into this school due to the Dual-Language Program. Do not let the score of 3 detract you. The teachers are involved, The administrators are involved. This is a true community. The demographics are challenging with the dual language learners and this may account for some of the low test scores. They actively seek out solutions when there are conflicts. Many of the teachers and before and after school teachers/paras have their kids here. Awesome school with challenges but REAL community involvement and sense of caring and wish to have the kids do well. Note I went to the school in the area that was 10 stars (little community feel at all). My son goes to Foster.Foster Kindergarten Parent.

I'm the parent that rated Foster 2 stars. I would also like to add they do have AWESOME after before and after school activities!! I was very please with the range of activities....drama, basketball, jump rope club, crochet, reading, spanish, circus arts etc. I put my kids in a bunch of them and they really enjoyed attending! Never wanting to miss a club!!

Foster Elementary educates the student on academics and being part of a community. The school has a vibrant extracurricular program that enhances friendships and skills. The Dual language program is well thought out and provides kids with an extra challenge and skill.

We used to live in Arvada, unfortunately we had to move to Aurora. We had our daughter in this school , Foster and the teachers are great. My daughter was learning. Here in Aurora we can't seem to find anything that compares to such a great school. It's really quite disappointing she can not attend this school now. Great school!!

The dedication of the staff at Foster is amazing; If I have ever seen teachers and principals give 110% for their students, it has been here. My kids did not participate in the immersion program and yet they still had focused, challenging teachers. The school has so many great after school and extracurricular programs, so my kids could keep as busy as they wanted to be. The teachers also made sure to identify gifts and strengths in my children and to challenge them individually. The kids came home happy and inspired often. And when there were disciplinary issues that involved or affected my kids, I felt the staff dealt quickly, effectively and respectfully with all parties. Yes the school is in a lower income area. But, I am so grateful that there was a safe and stimulating place for my children to attend while we were at a financially difficult time in our lives. Thank you Foster! Keep up the great work!!
