This is our fourth year at Centennial. The teachers are amazing with many years of experience. They treat your child with patience and kindness. The Expeditionary Learning model allows your child to engage in hands on in-depth study of subjects…and our principal Emily is fabulous! She is caring, communicative, and a great asset to the school.

My granddaughter is having a great kindergarten experience. Her teachers are very experienced and responsive to any questions. The school seems very focused on community involvement. The curriculum is engaging.

I am a (non teaching) staff member as well as parent here. I of course have positive biases towards the school, but moved my son here in 3rd grade because I objectively can see the level of commitment and expertise of the teachers towards their jobs. My son has felt so welcomed and supported despite entering mid elementary school. The community is very supportive and creative. They have no to low cost clubs before and after school thanks to the PTA.

I have two children at Centennial who have attended since ECE. My kids have enjoyed many of the teachers and participated in the after school opportunities. We appreciate that the school staff has been supportive and flexible.with their time to provide an assortment of different activities and outings that has made our kids time more memorable.

We are so happy with our choice to send our daughter to Centennial! The school is a wonderful place to grow up. Outstanding support from our teachers, even with our sensitive child. Couldn't recommend more!

We have a 3rd grader (who has been there since kindergarten) and current kindergartener in their first year at Centennial and love it! As a parent of color I appreciate the focus on equity and inclusion throughout the school (though there’s always more to do and improve on!), my 3rd grader has struggled in some areas and the looped model (same teacher for two years) meant the teacher had the time with my son needed to learn what makes him tick and how best to support his learning style (including OT support). Both of my kids love the experiential learning model and the community is so supportive and great! Highly recommend!

Centennial - A School for Expeditionary Learning has a strong, inclusive and generous community. This is reflected in the high quality teachers/staff, super engaged parents and happy, successful, and kind kiddos. The school culture focuses on academics, but doesn't put that above social-emotional development. They are intentional about supporting the whole child. My kids will never forget their WoRLD CARE habits and learned to be advocates for themselves and their community (Thank you!) Our transracial family's experience has spanned the last 8 years and has been consistantly positive, supportive and equitable. We love DPSK12's Centennial elementary school in northwest Denver!

What a great 3 years this has been! I look forward to my son finishing out his last years of elementary here. We moved and it is now a 35 min drive from us but it is WORTH it! My son absolutely loves his school and every single staff member shows their passion to these kids.

This is our 6th year at Centennial and we couldn't be happier. My children have had amazing teachers every single year. We love the expeditionary aspect of the school and absolutely love that the classes loop with their teachers for two years. It creates a close "crew" environment and my children have really bonded with their teachers and Crew. We feel extremely lucky to have this special school in our neighborhood.

We have been at Centennial 2 years, and absolutely LOVE this school!! They are flexible, creative, and knowledgeable with their approach to help our kiddos learn and thrive, not only in academic skills but more importantly in life and social/emotional skills. One of my children is neurodivergent and he has made such amazing progress at this school. Most importantly, he loves going to school!! We have definitely found our home with this wonderful community of dedicated teachers, staff, and parents.

With so many options for schools nowadays it can feel so overwhelming to make the decision about where to send your kids. Prior to deciding on Centennial we toured other neighborhood schools, read all the reviews and considered state testing data. The decision to attend Centennial (after getting into other neighboring schools) was ultimately based on the feeling we got during the tour and wow am I so glad we went with our gut. Centennial is such a special place. The teacher turnover is incredibly low and after 3 years there I understand why. School admin, the teaching staff and the community are all truly working together to ensure students needs (both academic and social emotional) are being met. The school has a strong focus on building community and after a long weekend or break my kids often remark that they "miss their crew". My kids feel like they belong, are being challenged academically and are building strong social emotional skills. In the current climate and culture around education I am so glad they have a place they want to go everyday and that we as parents have a community to support us as we raise our kids. We are Crew!

I feel so lucky that Centennial is our neighborhood school. My two boys both started in preschool and the oldest is now in 4th grade. We have had amazing teachers. Love that kids get to "loop" with their teachers as this has been proven with research to lead to positive achievement outcomes. The ECE teachers also had one of my kids reading by the end of the year. School community is also welcoming and wonderful!

We ended at Centennial after bouncing around at two other Montessori dual language schools. My son has been at Centennial since ECE -4, he has an IEP and a 1:1 para and is currently in 3rd grade. He has made so much progress, he receives speech, OT, behavioral, and math support. The new principal Ms. Emily was one of the first advocates and helped us to figure out how to better support our kid. As a parent, I highly recommend the school and all the support my kid has been receiving at Centennial.

My daughter is in a K/1 class at Centennial and we could not be happier with our decision. Her teacher is caring, invested, and able to meet students where they are in a multi age classroom. After a challenging year at a different school last year, it is so amazing to see my kiddo thriving in her learning environment. Communication from the principal, classroom teacher, and PTA has been outstanding. I feel like a part of the community and like I always know what is going on.

Absolutely love this school. We selected Centennial as our top choice school for our kids for the strong EL program, and the quality of the teachers and staff. The principal and front office staff know every student by name, and the entire faculty deeply care about the students and helping them succeed.

I feel so incredibly lucky to have my children enrolled at this school. Not only are they learning academically, but Centennial takes teaching about community seriously as well. Each classroom and teacher prioritizes time for how to build a school community and be part of a crew (as they put it). I love the Expeditionary learning style that connects the the core subjects (math, science, reading, and writing) to a specific theme like weather or trees. It really helps connect the subjects together for the children. The students get ample time outside learning and the teachers really get to know each student. I am so grateful we stumbled upon Expeditionary learning.
