I was homeschooling my students, but when the entered high school, they needed more than I could give them in a one school room situation. Arvada High School has been amazing with working with my students that attended this school. It was a big change and the counselors, teachers, and administration helped make this transition smooth. I have felt like there has been good communication and any concerns I have had are heard and resolved quickly. I like the community feeling of this school. There is a lot of historic relevance to this school. Although the school is old it has a small community feel. It almost feels like a family since it is so small in student population to teachers/administration. The school has a new principal who is working hard to help this high school be even better. I think under her leadership the school will make great progress and in the next few years will be an even better school than it is now.

This school is special because there is a diverse mix of students and student backgrounds, with teachers that know how to not only support but celebrate this.

This school is amazing! We are so grateful to be a part of the Bulldog community!

Just horrible. The staff and teachers are bullies. Do not care about their students. Tell and spread lie. Should be shut down

This school has zero control over students. Girls will wear bras as shirts, and multiple groups of students during breaks and lunch will be smoking right in front of the adults with no concerns. My daughter has always held an A/B average, but this year she has had multiple failing grades. This school is not up to par for students to achieve success. I have seen with my own eyes students being ignored by staff when they are asking for help. Im saddened by the reality that these students are learning to settle or just give up.

Arvada High School is an awesome (and totally underrated) school. The kids and staff support each other and care about this place. We are winning championships in a few sports competitions, we are extremely innovative in our teaching and learning and our English standardized test scores this year are competitive with our surrounding schools. We have a family-like community here and the reputation we have outside of this place is completely false. I have taught all over this country (and internationally) and I wouldn't want to be anywhere else.

Arvada High School has done an excellent job with the students that want to get a superior education. Students have earned over 3 million dollars in scholarships last year. Full scholarships to top rated Universities. Standford, Alabama, DU to name a few. Every school has students that do not apply themselves but if yours does - teachers and counselors will go above and beyond to help them succeed. Arvada sports teams may not win state championships but players get to play rather than riding the bench. But lets not forget 3 state wrestling champs, several football players signed to universities, cross country runners competing at the college level and more. You get out what you put in; Arvada staff will help you achieve your goals and will be right beside of you.

this is a school that cares about you. if it is too easy try taking some AP classes and then see, but it is a great school because of the friendly teachers and students, there are basically no cliques and everyone hangs out with everyone. I wouldn't want to go to any other school because of it. Arvada High School is a school with great diversity and passion. It is a great school with a bad reputation only because some students don't care, but the ones that do care, will succeed and be great.

Arvada High School in a nutshell is not the best school to go to. The students there are friendly but I learned a lot more in Moore Middle School and that school was not so good too. Some teachers just seem to let you kick back and just let life past you. I expected I wasn't going to do well there, but my grades flipped on a dime. I went from slipping through the cracks having D's in middle school to having A's in almost every class in high school. The classes were too easy. I didn't change a thing on what I did on my approach to school. No disrespect to the students at Arvada high, but they just seem lazy. A lot of students get D's and F's. They don't seem to care. It is not entirely the schools fault, the parents need to step up and teach their kids to do work; that everything in life will not come free. If you want your kid to be challenged don't go to Arvada HS. I was more challenged in seventh grade then in nineth grade. It is better than nothing though. To sum it up Arvada HS is a place to make friends, not very challenging, and all around a not so good place to learn a lot. I am a student at Arvada High and I hope you found this review helpfull.
