This has been one of the worst experiences of my life dealing with this school. My child in 5th grade went for months saying she wasn't being assigned homework. Which I thought was strange so decided to investigate further. Turns out she was given homework just wasn't turning it in. The teacher or the school NEVER COMMUNICATED with us about this issue. The teachers do not have any email so you can communicate with them directly. Tried to set up where a notebook is signed so we know when homework is given and if she was turning it in. Teacher didn't comply. If they care about the kids as they state they are doing why aren't parents being notified of issues.

The etchers and staff are passionate about education and the kids. I've had several over the years and every child love going to school and leading. This helps me as a foster parent. I'm blessed that Winnetka is our home school. Their after school program LA Best is the BEST.

Once you have been with this school enough you will begin to see the office staff and some teachers true feelings (not all some are really great teachers). But it is a team effort. Children are our future and for judgment on them at such a young age is not good for their mind, self esteem and performance in school. Children that need direction to the right path need more positivity expressed to them and sometimes taught. Patience is a virtue. I hope the staff reads this.

I ended up at the last minute needing a school for my daughter and Winnetka Avenue's front office staff are the best! They helped me out and were genuinely concerned and helped me enroll my child. We are looking forward to a great year in 1rst grade.

My daughter hasfinished her pre-K here and is going to Kindergarten here. Her pre-k teacher was Ms Corso. I could not have asked for a better teacher than her. The most caring and the most vigilant of all the teachers I have met in my life. She is a great advisor and a great evaluater of her students.

I am thrilled with the progress my children are making at this school. The staff is very caring. There are many programs to help my child learn. The test scores are going up every year. There have been many recent improvements to the campus. It has a beautiful library and large playground with a nice play structure.
