The principal, Mrs Hunter, and Mr. Bullis have made a positive and significant difference in this school’s atmosphere. They lead with passion and commitment to parents, teachers, an community. I would recommend this school because it’s focused on children’s emotional and academic well being.

Melvin is a great school with frat teachers. The staff support all the children and look out for their safety. The teachers have high expectations for student growth.

My son is in the Autism core class and Ms.Beals is his teacher. My son loves his teacher and I appreciate her patience and she truly cares about the students.

I am immensely disappoint in Melvin Elementary, the bullying is extreme. My child often gets bullied for being white. There is no diversity. Test scores are low and many children are unsupervised at home, which leads to greater issues in the school. The level of exposure these children have to many negative things is sad. Unfortunately, I wish my son had not been enrolled here.

Los maestros toman muy a la ligera o poca importancia cuando un estudiante necesita ayuda en su aprendizaje

my child is being bullied at this school and getting there school supplies stolen from another student. When she reported this to the teacher, the teacher did nothing about it.

Best elementary school ever - in my opinion -! I'm a student there and I've got the opportunity to be in the gifted or SAS. The SAS program is pretty different from the normal one. A) We get pushed harder. B) get to learn French. I've been learning it since 1st grade. And c, in fifth grade, you get to learn Shakespeare and do plays. I'm in fifth grade so I know these things. I suggest you enroll or check out my school - A Student

The ambiance of the school is so authentic - with large trees lining up the fields which is luscious green. It looks exactly like the school I went to 35 years back in my Homeland Bangladesh. The teachers are great and the principal Mr. Dixon is very involved. He is always on top of everything.
