The teachers at this school are understanding of the students' needs and offer support when it's needed. They also host workshops throughout the year, like English Classes and STEAM where parents get to join their kids and participate in science activities. There is a lot of family engagement and that is important for the community.

My son’s kindergarten teacher can’t even spell properly. She sent a letter saying that he isn’t following instructions properly and has missed too many classes. He has missed 3 due to a fever and has only been in kindergarten 1 month. I don’t know what she said to him, but he came home and said “this is the worst day ever, I’m a bad student”. Not kid deserves to feel that, especially when they are 5.

I absolutely love and adore Limerick Elementary School! I had the pleasure of being a TA here while I was in college. I then went on to receive my Bachelor's Degree and credential and eventually came back to teach here. Currently my son attends here as well! What drew me to Limerick from day 1 was the people. The staff here genuinely care about both the students and each other, and that care is felt all throughout the campus. If you have the opportunity, come see what Limerick is all about!!

I have not have any problem with this school. It had a rating of 3; this year has a 4!I think the principal and staff knows what needs to be done to make this a great school. Teachers are awesome. My daughter is on 2nd grade now and there is definitely communication between parents and school with flyers and review periods gives you opportunity to find out how your kid is doing.Have no complaints of this school so far.

Bendiciones!

My son went to school here in Preschool. Its a great school considering the district and area it is in. Dead coackroaches are all over the Valley. Im a property manager...its unavoidable. The kids are rough? All kids are rough. Even at the school in Calabasas that my son now attends since we moved. The Principal is stuck when it comes to getting rid of lazy apathetic teachers because of the teachers union. The kindergarten that got lost was let out of the office by another parent. I wonder how many of the parents that complain on this site ever gave any money to the PTA or volunteered in the class room?

I agree with another parent posting on this site. The children are VERY rough at this school. I have witnessed kids playing in the morning by throwing punches, and my child has not only been roughed up, but he's also learning behavior I dislike very much from the other older kids. I also saw over 14 giant dead cockroaches scattered in the Preschool area right under the drinking fountain and doorways on orientation day - clearly by poisoning and then not cleaned up - and no one seemed concerned. They also apparently LOST a 5 year old kindergardener off campus - which is tragic. I am seeking enrollment elsewhere.

I attended this school In 4th and 5th and I think that the staff is over worked and the principal is a horrible person. She has a complaint for everything and the kitchen -sink! All she does is complain, but not see the abusive kids. OMG I hope nobody else has to deal with that school!

My son just started attending limrick elementary and does not enjoy it. He's in kindergarten and so far has been choked, punched, bitten and smacked by other students. I was only notified once about these incidents. The others times,my son told me. When I called the school, the principle only gave answers she thought I might want to hear.I could tell she was not really listening to my concerns. I Should be notified if my child is assaulted by another student. He is an excellent student student and gets along well with most children. He no longer wants to attend school because he says only bad things happen there. I myself have gone to the school at different times of the day and the office staff doesn't even look up to see who is walking into that school.huge safety issue! I am glad to say my child will not be returning for 1st grade.

Betsy Garvin is unpredictable. She says one thing 1 minute and something else the next. She is not a leader. There are a few good teachers left but Ms. Garvin has made the environment stressful so some good teachers have left.

MY SISTERS AND I ATTENDED THIS SCHOOL IN THE Late 50's and 60's, our children attended this school, and now, our grandchildren go here. We all Loved Limerick.Betsy Garvin is a wonderful individual, and Limerick is very blessed to have her as Principal. All of the teachers are amazingly dedicated, ( with exception to 1 Mrs Theodore, who should not be teaching elementry aged students).

I do not recommend this school . I believe the principal should be fired or retired . I once had my daughter attend and she was bullied , and the principal does not do anything about this issue . Nor does she worry about the students doing the best they can or achieving .

Miss Garvin has made a tremendous impact on our school. The rigor is being 'kicked up' and the students are beginning to achieve.
