Kullerstrand is a fantastic school, with a dedicated staff that goes above and beyond for their students. We enrolled our kiddo right before the pandemic and Kullerstrand's leaders made us feel so safe and secure. Our daughter's reading and math improved significantly here. This school is just the right size and the right fit for my family and I highly recommend it.

I have no idea why anyone in the neighborhood would choice enroll into a different school. It is obvious that the teachers and staff work well together and love the kids and the community. Our daughter(s) have enjoyed some of the programming that is offered-Girls on the Run & Robotics Club. The PTA has grown so much over the years and parents are really involved. We love it here and highly recommend this adorable neighborhood school.

We have three children here and have been very happy! It was our home school, and then their social emotional support, small class sizes and extremely caring staff made our decision to stay when we moved!

We are big believers in neighborhood schools but when we toured our local school before our daughter started kindergarten we learned the local school is 60% "choiced in" and we realized the 'school choice' system in Colorado means the traditional definition of a local school is skewed. We toured Kullerstrand - the next closest school - and loved the helpful and knowledgeable tour guide, the small class sizes, the student interactions, the great student to teacher ratio, the student diversity, the helpful and communicative administrative staff, and the overall feel of the school. Our local school had a two year wait list for before/after school care options and as working parents trying to coordinate other options or plan to pick our child up at some distance and cost to us was daunting. We love what is available during the school day but the fact our daughter is always upset to be picked up too early from the incredible after school care program only warms our hearts more. We talk to other parents with older students and look forward to when she is able to join one of the many great after school club activities - such as robotics and philanthropic options. Our daughter is finishing first grade and we couldn't be happier with the Kullerstrand choice we made. The community has been incredibly welcoming, the staff are great and engaged, and our daughter has already shown she is learning academically but also in her social/emotional awareness. The Principal and other administrative staff attend PTA meetings and I love that if I need to report my daughter’s absence the staff know me and who my child is right away. The Principal, Cheryl, is really inspiring and you can tell she draws the best of the best to her school. School choice gives you many options but I really tell other parents all the time – you’d be happy you chose Kullerstrand.

We LOVE Kullerstrand!!! I am a former teacher in Jeffco and live close enough for our kids to walk to school. I've worked in many schools in the area and Kullerstrand is by far my favorite! The staff is absolutely incredible and strives to build amazing relationships with each child. I appreciate that Mrs. Clay (the principal) takes her time to get to know every family in the school and love how she is always visible and out front greeting families and children as they are coming to and from school. My daughter has been challenged in classes and has made huge growth every year she's been there. We are excited to have our son join Kullerstrand's community next year as a kindergartener!! Ignore those scores at the top, they don't do Kullerstrand justice! You will be thoroughly impressed by this schools amazing community!

I chose this school initially because of the warm welcome I received when touring schools. That has not changed in the 6 years that my sons have attended. I have had access to many school resources such as therapists and counseling which have been very beneficial for my children. I feel that the teachers are able to adapt to children's different learning styles. They have many family oriented engagements throughout the school year that are fun and educational. I know that the principal Cheryl Clay cares deeply for every student. I see that every morning when she greets every student that walks in the school. I've experienced that first hand with my boys. She is reasonable, firm, and loving.

My son is in 1st grade at Kullerstrand and we are in love with the school. It is currently a smaller school, so class sizes are under 20! He gets personalized attention directly from his teacher. Ms. Clay the principal is amazing, she is dedicated to the school and personally knows every kiddo. We recently lost our title 1 funding and it’s been amazing watching the community rally to raise funds together to help support the school.

I don't know how we ever got so lucky to live in a neighborhood that feeds into such a great school?! We have been so happy sending our now 3rd grader and 1st grader to this school. They feel like they belong and are so proud to be Kullerstrand Rams. From the moment we first visited the school for a Kindergarten information night, the Kinder teachers and front office staff remembered our names. And we visited a year before my daughter started Kindergarten. I am always welcomed at the school and almost everyone is on a first-name basis. I love that the kids are greeted by the principal and at least 3 other staff at drop-off. We also appreciate that the school has a social/emotional focus. Each week, my kids get to meet with a social-emotional teacher to go over different learnings around feelings and emotions and how to deal with them. I feel that I can always reach out to my kids' teachers with questions or concerns. And when they've had tough times at home, they are shown extra love and care at school. All I have to do is text, email or Dojo (which is a lovely communication app used by some teachers at the school) one of our teachers and the response is amazing.Lastly, not only have my kids met wonderful people but I have as well. I love our PTA and have met lifelong friends volunteering and helping at the school. The staff is SO thankful and welcoming of PTA that it makes volunteering that much more rewarding! We will definitely be so sad when our kids move into Middle School as we couldn't be happier to be part of such a wonderful community!

Such a terrific school. The teachers and staff are so supportive of the students. We have 3 kids here now and everyone knows them by name. It has a wonderful sense of community with excellent parental involvement. It started as our neighborhood school and now we choice into it rather then going to our new, higher rated, neighborhood school. We recommend Kullerstrand to all parents who ask!

I'm so thankful to be a part of this sweet little school! We moved into our home right before my oldest child's Kindergarten year. I had a few neighbors tell me I should try to lottery into a different nearby school that has historically been more popular. But we had already registered at Kullerstrand and I wanted to see for myself. I COULD NOT be happier! The administrative staff, the teachers, the principal are all so kind, supportive and truly care about the students. Cheryl Clay, the principal, knows every child's name and is outside greeting them most mornings. They prioritize small class sizes, recognizing kids from each class every month, teaching strong values and integrity. This is an amazing neighborhood school that is filled with good people and I'm thankful my kids get to grow up here.

Our family has been attending Kullerstrand over the past 3 years. We have child in 2nd grade and we have twins in their PreK program. Every teacher and every staff member (we have had experience with) knows our family personally, which makes this community feel more like a family! One of our children has needed extra support and the school has been wonderful to work with, we have made great progress over the past few months and not sure if we could have got there without all the amazing support we have received. The schools honors one student per class, per month and it's such a nice way to hear the teachers speak about the achievements of our child amongst their peers and the whole school. I really can't say enough great things about our experience at Kullerstrand! RAM PRIDE!

We have been involved in the Kullerstrand community for 4 years. We have a 3rd grade son attending currently and our daughter will start kindergarten next year. We believe in the school mission, trust that our children are supported and safe, and we absolutely love the staff. Cheryl Clay, our principal, knows all students by name. Staff support children wherever they are from a learning or social perspective. It’s a strong, small and mighty school and we are so proud to be part of its continued growth and evolution.

The teachers really care about your child and make a strong effort to help them understand something that they may be struggling with. You feel like family every time you walk through the door

Kullerstrand embodies what every neighborhood school should be. Starting with the front office, where they are welcoming, friendly, helpful, and accommodating. Each child is known by every adult in the school which keeps everyone accountable and safe. Small class sizes help teachers to accommodate and differentiate to meet all learning needs. The school has also partnered with many local business to extend learning for students beyond the classroom. There is so much more to a school than test scores and we love the way Kullerstrand teaches to the "whole child".
