I have an an amazing experience at this school. The teachers are always encouraging and the administration is very kind. I have not had much of an issue with bullying or harassment. Going into this school, it was considered just the "feeder school" that we were all just sent to that wasn't very good, but this school is anything but and is an amazing place for all types of students.

I am a current student and at first a thought this school would be a bad choice. But the past 3 years have amazing. This school has its flaws but so much better to it.

You can read the info above stating this schools score keep dropping. You can atteibute this to the culture of the schools staff. 8th grade vice principle Namita Wiess made this statement to me and my child, " in the long run middle school is not a that important. I don't hold my own children to good grades as long as they know the material." As a parent how do I gage my childs underdtanding of the material if her grades do not reflect a general understanding of the material. My duaghter has not been credited for the work she has turned in ove rthe last 3 years. When adressed with Melinda Feir the Principle no steps were taken to rectify my child grades or credit her for the work she has tirned in. The only thing I was given was a faje apolgyy and assurance this issue has been adresses with the teacher. If there was an error on that teachers paycheck, would this same lame excuse be given?? No!!

Drake really supports their students. There's a strong anti-bullying policy and a culture of acceptance/inclusion at the school, and they use positive discipline strategies for students who are struggling with behavioral issues. They use a social-emotional curriculum that encourages a standard for how students are expected to treat each other and it's reinforced throughout the school. The thing is, as with any school with 900 students, you have to let the school know what's happening with your children and encourage your kids to reach out to teachers, counselors, or administrators so that they can do something.

Excellent teaching and course curriculum. I am very pleased with this school for my 2 boys. They are well prepared for high school.

Rigorous for my 7th grader but she loves school and the positive atmosphere.
