This school has a culture that teaches children to love learning. They make sure the children are supported and treated with respect and patience. Two of my kids have gone through their elementary education here. Top notch curriculum and test scores. Most importantly, my children are happy here. I am so grateful for Quail Hollow Elementary and thank every single one of the wonderful staff.

I absolutely love Quail Hollow Elem. All four of my children have gone there. And the teachers are beyond caring and loving. I have yet to have a teacher treat my child any different than anyone else. They assisted me with getting my second youngest on a 504 plan. And assisted with any needs that I inquired about. I cannot say enough about the compassion I feel from these teachers. Every single teacher, any of my children have had has been top notch. I literally do school choice and drive out of my district to bring my child to Quill Hollow. Thank you, Quail Hollow Elem for being my child’s family away from home.

I am more than impressed with this school and the Staff. I have two boys in the fourth grade and the teachers have went above and beyond. Jess in the office is a true hero in my book. She has bent over backwards to help one of my sons transition into his new school. I am always able to reach the assistant principal who has also came up with great strategies to keep my son engaged and welcome. As a busy single Mom this school has been an absolute blessing. Thank you!

I agree with many of the points that the parent/reviewer made on May 5th, 2023. Five years ago, or so, this was a top-rated school in the county and was a great choice to send your children to. Now the school's rating is starting to decline, there are numerous issues in the classrooms (for each grade level), and the front office seems to have a new Assistant Principal every year or so. Aside from the COVID year, my oldest has not had a teacher stay at the school for an entire school year. This led to many of the classes being taught by a substitute teacher for extended periods of time. During an awards ceremony, I learned that in my youngest child's grade level, they spend about 50 percent of their time on the laptop doing Zearn and Lexia. I was shocked by the amount of time that was stated as we spend a lot of time working on homework, Zearn, and Lexia at home as well. Overall, I think that my children seem to enjoy the school, but only for the social aspect. My oldest is supposed to go to Cypress Creek Middle School in August, but I heard that school is not any better. More than likely, we will end up homeschooling or some combination of virtual learning/school for our two children for the next year school year.

I really loved this school at first, but my kids have attended this school for a while now, and i have received mixed messages about their grades. One minute I'm getting a note stating my children are falling behind and needing additional learning assistance. Then, literally the next day I received a letter asking to have them tested for the gifted program and requesting they be placed in advanced classes. Both of my kids are very smart and my son is more than an advanced reader. He is possibly ever better at reading than many adults, but he has been marked behind on his reading before, which is IMPOSSIBLE! It doesn't seem like their grading makes any sense, and when my kids do not score very high on a test for some reason, my kids report to me that their teachers get mad at them! Not scoring high on something ireflects the teachers teaching abilities, not the student so long atls they try, which I know my children do because I'm at home helping them with their piles of endless homework that the school for some reason actually gives gltheir grade schoolers! They have a shifty bus schedule and have been late for school on a regular basis, which is not our fault, but they not only get marked absent when the bus brings them to school late, but we receive threatening letters from the school stating we are at risk of having social services get involved. Just as bad, the teachers reprimand my kinds making them scarf down their breakfast and clean up after the other students when they're late to the pointmy daughter stopped eating breakfast. We looked into driving our kids to school but the schhol does not let you drop your child off but 15 min before the start time! The drop off line is too much to handle since they make everyone wait, then only offer 15 min for the entire school to be dropped off before the school starts, thus creating the same issue with many of the children being late! Again, it doesn't make sense to make every wait when the staff is there as early as 8am! This school is forcing many children to be late, then punishing them for being late. Finally, I have had my 9 year old confide in me numerous times about how the teachers treat her. My daughter is a smart, polite, by the book, type-A student. Somehow, she's getting in trouble for nothing and being mistreated by her teachers. Why get into teaching if you don't like kids? That has to be the case because if they can actually have issues with my daughter, then they just must not like kids.

Would recommend QHES over and over. We couldn’t be happier with the quality of education, the relationships that our kids have with the teachers, and how much of a school family this school truly is.
