why did your staff treat a member of the public so poorly for just exercising their rights

Reed has been amazing so far, it's a beautiful campus, dedicated teachers, and a true community environment. From what we've seen, Reed is one of the best districts in Marin and the Bay Area.

Reed is a great school. It is about the safest place a child could go to school as well. It's right next door to the police station! And it only holds K-2 so all the kids are young. The school is big on positive communication and kind treatment of others. They do what they can to encourage all parents to get involved. One drawback is the lack of diversity but that's not the school's fault. They welcome everyone. I'd recommend the school to my friends.

We feel very fortunate to have the opportunity to send our children to this school. I wish there was a bit more diversity ( most children/ families are white) but that is the only downside. Having gone to infant/ toddler and preschool programs in SF, I think that better diversity there was a big advantage, but the school is excellent.

We feel so incredibly fortunate and grateful to live in Tiburon and have access to this amazing school. I tell other Reed parents who only know Reed, that they have no idea how good it really is. We came from another highly regarded public school in Marin, which I thought was good, but compared to Reed it barely measures up. Reed feels like a private school - the campus is beautiful, the included programs (thanks to the Reed Foundation) are plentiful, the teachers are dedicated, the front office team could not be nicer, the parent volunteer involvement is like nothing I've ever seen. Honestly, we don't have one complaint with this school, super happy.

We find Reed Elementry to be an incredible school! Our daughter is in 1st grade, so it is our second year in the school, and we couldn't be happier. She loves her school and teachers. The teachers are AMAZING: talented, motivational and experienced. They are truly passionate about teaching! Top-notch administration, helpful stuff and beautiful facility.

Parental involvement is often of the pretentious and parentally self-promotional sort. The administration is most interested in looking good and avoiding liability rather than performing well, raising resilient, honest, and hard-working students. The homework is a joke. Teachers are good (a lot are the best paid in the county) but pander to the PTA and focus on their PTA parent students. Thinking outside of the box is encouraged only so much as Marin is diverse (think all white and wealthy). Bubbles don't always pop.

We pulled our child out after 2 years because the experience was so poor. The kids were often mean and exclusive and the teachers seemed unable to shift the class culture away from such negative behavior while the administration denied that bullying even existed at Reed. Enough said. The facilities are beautiful but there's more to school than a pretty environment. "Best in Marin"? I don't think so.

I wonder why only a few people are rating this school? I sent a couple of kids to this school and it was not even close to outstanding. I would like to hear how/why these others say it is outstanding. We had a share program of two teachers who could care less what they kids learned because they were hardly there, the other year we a down right "mean" or unkind teacher, and the other year a very burnt out teacher, who did as little as possible.

My kids have always been matched with excellent teachers, where they learned so much and grew socially and emotionally. They really promote respect of others, self confidence, and independence. Hope we continue to get another great teacher/class! The one thing we have noticed over the years is that their music program is far less exciting, and they offer less long term projects than they used to before budget cuts. Also they really should have a RN on staff, instead of a rotating vocational nurse that has very little experience.

Amazed by this school! Moved from a top public school in Connecticut and Reed is superior. Excellent teaches, beautiful campus and impressive curriculum. My son loves this school and so do I!
