We moved here in 2021 just as the pandemic was beginning to wind down. The staff has been incredible!! There are a TON of extracurriculars and the administration is very engaging. Very happy my family made the leap of faith to have a little farther drive to base to be in this district.

Kind of a trying time from 2020 into 2021 with COVID, but the staff seems to be doing a great job moving past the headache created by the pandemic. There are so many extracurriculars!!! The opportunities are certainly there for kids to excel. Like most schools, supportive and active parents go a long way as well. As long as you maintain a close relationship with your kid you should be able to help them grow so they are ready for the challenges of high school and beyond.

This is the most unorganized school with horrible teachers. My child has an IEP that is never implemented and the policy on bullying isn't implemented. My son is doing terrible despite all our meetings, emails and conferences with the school

This was my daughter's first year attending this school. I was initially worried b/c of comments I had heard, but she loves attending this school. Her teachers have been wonderful and the work was challenging and rewarding for her. The school is very old though, but it is for the most part clean. My main issue is the treatment of parents. The office staff make parents feel very unwelcomed from the moment you enter the building and you get the feeling that you are bothering them if you ask them a question.

My school has a great learning atmosphere. My teachers have great teaching methods. I have never had any trouble with schoolwork. I plan on moving on to the IB program at Kings Fork High, because of inspiration from a teacher. John Yeates has prepared me for my academic future.

JYMS is a great school. The principal is great and present at everything at the school. The teachers are outstanding. I was very nervous for my child to start middle school but all problems are dealt with quickly and there is not a problem with discipline at all. I love that they keep the grades seperated, they don't even pass in the halls at the same time. My child had a great year and we will miss this school! By the way, she was on the honor roll all year.
