My daughter has attended this school for Pre-K and 2nd grade (she attended private during bright of Covid to support work needs). Both years have been a great experience. I have had seasoned well qualified teachers who are using the newest technology to keep effective communication with the parents. She is very pleasant, professional and organized, The homework is reasonable, though at times an option for extra credit is needed for my daughter. Nevertheless overall this has been a positive experience. They have creative learning experiences, learning with a tent at desk, making smores, etc. And the school has community events

I truly believe that my child’s teacher has made our experience at this school a very positive one. If it weren’t for this teacher, I am not sure I could would feel that way. This teacher goes above and beyond to care for and educate the students in a safe, respectful, educational, and fun environment. The school receptionist is not welcoming or friendly. In an elementary school, I would expect the leadership to reflect the positive attitudes and kindness that they teach the students who attend there. The transportation department is severely lacking in bus drivers to the point that several routes must do second loads more often than not. When the buses are not on second loads, my child’s bus comes anytime within the span of a full hour! Despite many calls from our neighborhood families, it has not been remedied. Many have chosen to just drive their child to school rather than have their child stand outside for up to an hour. The transportation department has also failed to update parents to changes (such as a double load) on more than one occasion and sometimes parents aren’t notified until after their child should have returned home. This leaves parents panicking as they try to figure out where their child is. Notifications should go out the minute a change is made. On more than one occasion the excuse has been “well we just found out.” I have a hard time believing that because the students had already been kept at the school for more than 30 minutes past normal time waiting for a bus to finish the first load. I would think that would have clued someone in that there was a change and parents should be notified. One other thing that has bothered my partner and I is the seemingly never ending fundraisers. For a while it was as if there was a new one every week. I have never experienced so much fundraising in my life. It is overwhelming and we do not have enough people in our lives to badger for fundraising support and I refuse to constantly go to the ones we do have with requests and brochures. Despite all of this. My child’s teacher far outshines all of the unfavorable aspects of attending Creekside. My child is happy, learning, and thriving. The extra resource classes such at art, gym, music, library, and computers are my child’s favorite. My child also enjoys all of the extra after school events that they do.

    I would give my experience a 7/10.

Terrible administration, no consequences for students who think stealing from others is okay. Very low safety of students with dismissal procedures.

This is our 2nd yr attending this school meaning 2of my own have some type of learning difficulties and receive meds twice a day and my nephew is on the lower end of the autism spectrum and personality this school has been exceptionally accommodating and I don’t feel as a “2nd class citizen” when it comes to them and getting questions answered or anything. Then my youngest is a genius needing no extra help or medicine. He was tested in 2nd grade just to see if he qualified for a special higher level class that would accommodate him and higher more challenging learning. So if you ask me this school helps each and every student as an individual according to their needs

We have been so happy with Creekside. My daughter is thriving and has already tested at a first grade level. The building is very secure, students are kept safe, administration and teachers communicate regularly with parents, there are lots of family activities from the school and PTA. Creekside is a Title I school because one neighborhood is bused to this location and it impacts the test scores, etc. But don't let that fool you. It's a great school

Creekside's staff and administration are physically and verbally aggressive. Avoid this school.

I love this school. I have two children in special needs classes and they have amazing teachers. The entire team seams to be concerned for their well being and development.

School office staffs are not helpful and friendly. Each staff say different thing and not professional about their jobs. And school buses are always late but school is not responsible about it and doesn't even let parents know that school buses left school late and running behind schedule. Wish if I could move to other school district.

The vice principal is very kind and involved. I have never met or spoken with the principal who seems hands off. The office staff and teachers are not as nice as you would like to see in a school of little ones, but they aren't mean and unpleasant either. The school is clean, organized, and education wise above average. There are a few teachers that go above and beyond for the kids which is always exciting to see. The gym teachers, cafeteria staff, and vice principal make this school a good place to be. There are a good mix of kids when it comes to ethnic background, income and education levels. We have been to other schools that are uniform in one way or another, but I've been much happier here. My children get a variety of different experiences from other students that will help them grown and develop into their own. Overall this is a great school that will continue to go places if parents, teachers, and students work together to make it so.

We have been at this school for three years now. My daughter has excelled and is top of her class and way above national average. I know she is getting the education she deserves. the teachers have been fantastic, cant say a bad thing about the three she has had. I have never had an issue with the administration and on more than one occasion I felt the principal went out of her way to help me with a concern. I am unsure where these other reviews are stemming from and I am so sorry they had that experience. I can honestly say we hesistated when moving to the area and are soooo happy we did!!!

This school just drops the ball completely. Terrible. Unorganized. Rude. The staff and faculty up front are particularly mean. They act as if you are bothering them when you want them to do their job. Maybe they should retire. Get some people in there who want to work with kids!!!!!!!!!!

Creekside is a joke. It is WAY overcrowded. The parking lot is not even remotely equipped for the population. The front office staff are SO RUDE! No one treats you with an ounce of courtesy. The buses are ALWAYs late. Every teacher is just going through the motions. If I could use another address to get my kid to Nothern Shores I would!! Creekside is terrible school. Send your teachers for more training! Better yet....start fresh!!!! Figure out some policies and procedures that work...then stick to them! You are only making the kids suffer and making the parents very angry! Try running it like a school for once and see if you get better results. At this point in time, you are failing in every way. I feel bad for every one of those kids there. If the faculty and staff are as rude to the kids as they are to the parents they need to be FIRED!

My child has attended Creekside for 3 years now. I am pleased with the level of instruction and her teachers are always available immediately by phone or email. They have an awesome school librarian who is creative in her teaching approaches. The school nurses office is very responsive and caring. I am overall very satisfied with the school.

Creekside is a good school. There is room for improvement. I think the Administration and Teachers do the best they can with the large number of students. We look forward to a new year.

My daughter is in Kindergarten and I'm very happy with the school thus far. They have more than one option for before/after care, access to several activites through both the school and the city, and very good teachers that share responsibility for the children across that grade.

I love Creekside. My daughter began Kindergarten there in the middle of the year. She has learned so much more there than where we had been previously. Her teacher has great communication with me and is always available, returning phone calls, email and notes right away. I am amazed at how quickly my daughter has learned to read. Great school!
