I finally had to pull my kids from this school and decided to homeschool for now. Staff isn't the friendliest. The school doesn't do much compared to other schools. My child in kindergarten would come home and speak of the "bad" kids in class. I wish we would have done better research on the school before moving to this area. Teachers are a hit and miss which is sad.

Absolutely less than desirable. I wanted my daughter to go to W.T. Brown but the misfortune is that I live where Manchester is assigned. I really wanted to like the school, I tried really hard. I've cooperated and copperated more, agreed with some things even against my better judgement and I've come to a full and harsh realization. My child is not the problem. Its the administration, the staff, the over-filled class rooms. Theres lack of attention, not enough teachers for a 21 child class! Its caused my little girl to seeming act absolutely crazy when she is there. Now she is being treated differently by staff and making things worse. The AP now has a grudge on my 6 year old. The class is over-filled. I am at wits end with the so called "administration" and staff. My child was suspended from the bus for an act of self defense against a constant protagonist of bullying. I am overwhelmed by my disappointment in how these things are managed. I am also overwhelmed that my little one is now being singled out, and being pushed into a "disability" probably because the school gets more funding. YES. They are those kinds of people. YES, its that kind of school. Do yourself and your children a favor and find a better school. They're wolves in sheep's clothing.

Unfortunately, Mrs. Ray is not at Manchester. Anyone who is a good teacher or administrative staff, will not stay at Manchester. If you are a military family, do not send your children to Manchester. The teachers are not caring or qualified to teach in such a low income school. It has been a nightmare at this school. There is so much bad behavior among the students, teachers cannot teach. The teachers are so unprofessional and fake with the exception of Ms. D. Johnson.

Manchester Elementary is a great school with great teachers and students. Patty Ray who has been assigned to your school will do a wonderful Job.

If it wasn't for my daughters doing exceptionally well here they would have gotten zero stars from me. My son has adhd and since he has been at this school he has also acquired dysthimia as well because his second grade year teacher had no clue as to how to handle a child with adhd. I sat in the class with my son everyday with him for two months to observe myself and it almost felt as if I worked there because I became his teacher in class. The counselor and principal called me everyday to come to the school and always talk to him. He started Ritalin and concerta also to help him here and they still couldn't manage him. If your child has adhd do not send your child here. They need to be educated more on it

I find it highly irrational that if a parent takes their child to this school and the morning bell rings upon arrival that the kids that depend on the breakfast at school are refused breakfast because the bell rang already and are instead sent to class on a hungry stomach. there is no excuse for that something should be done.
