I debated for a long time whether or not to write this review. After much thought over the last five months I have decided it is important to share this information. My son is autistic and hearing impaired. The acoustics in this school are atrocious for a hearing impaired person. My son would often refuse to use his FM system and turn off his hearing aids because it was just that bad. Twice in the three years he attended this school he was bullied by the same girls. Once they coerced him to give up his lunch number and used MY money to buy lunch for themselves. The second time they harassed him in gym class over social media. The school honestly did nothing about either case except try and find loopholes to get the girls out of trouble and put the blame on my son. When we attended the 8th grade "graduation" ceremony (what a joke, don't waste your time) the same girls who harassed and bullied my son were given one award after the other for being model citizens. The gym teacher at this school is more like a social director, and was completely oblivious to the fact my son was being harassed in her class. My son's 8th grade math teacher here was the absolute worst. The man put up notes for students to copy and teach themselves complicated trigonometry while he sat at his desk looking unapproachable the entire year. Shortly after switching math classes my son's grade improved drastically. Gee I wonder why. This man also wanted parents to sign a paper at the beginning of the year stating students were not allowed to use the bathroom during his class under any circumstances. I believe prisoners in third world countries have more rights. The school's reasoning for allowing this was that "8th grade girls spend too much time in the bathroom gossiping." Ok? So how about you put some hall monitors out there and punish the people abusing the bathroom, not the kids who God forbid should have to pee at a time other than the few precious minutes they get to move between classes. There are some good teachers and staff here, but most are horrendous. If we were still living at Fort Bragg when it was time for my other children to go to middle school I would absolutely find another option.

I am very disappointed in the school as a whole from teachers in 6th to 8th grade I didn't want my daughter to go here after reading the reviews but at the time I was not working and we couldn't afford private school, since the schools off post won't allow you to transfer your kid, which sucks in North Carolina, the counselor Ms. Levy is absolutely awful, my daughter needed a referral for summer program that would help her with her different subjects in school and why she didn't give it to her she actually stated she would not refer this student for the program, first she called and asked me about the program and I explained it to her and she still had the audacity to not give my child the referral and to this day I don't understand why, my child has never had any issues with teachers or students if anything we have had to speak with the principal on my daughter being bullied, she is out of control and I will be speaking with the Superintendent.

horrible school. Not only was my daughter bullied by students (given a razor blade in a ring box and also several times being put in a head'lock) she was also verbally and'physically assaulted by the school nurse. The principal and assistant principal were notified on every occasion and did nothing! Finally had to file an IG complaint. I wish I could upload photos on here, i even have pictures of the teachers'sleeping during class.

For the most part the school is a good school...the principal always talks to us and nips any issue in the butt....theres a couple teachers that think they can speak to the kids rudely...I dont know if its because they taught older highschool before...but its not cool. One of the biggest complaint I have is the office lady. She is rude tone on the phone...and in person. I feel whomever works in the office..or a a school around children period should like their job enough to handle it with a smile more friendly and be a much more people person.
