I’ve had three children attend Westover middle school and the last two years have been by far the worst experience ever the teachers are rude. They feel it’s OK to curse in the classroom The principal they have now does not care about these kids and to top it off she’s racistPlease tell me why I was issued a no trespassing paper for cursing at the school when I couldn’t find my children because they were brought back to the school and not one educator there fell to call the parents and when I went to the school to find out why I was told that I have to make an appointment to speak to the principal, but yet a male of color was yelling and cussing and banging on the doors has no consequencesMy children are biracial, but I fear for them being at Westover. They do not treat the children equall. I was also laughed at over the phone today because my son called of an upset stomach and I have to pick him up. I called the school to ask if I can send an email with my picture ID and add his uncle to the list because his grandmother is sick so she can’t get him she told me to come to the school and fill out a paper again, laughed and hung upThis is the ignorance that’s teaching ourchildren

This school is THE WORST middle school ever because teachers yell to much, people are not welcoming, there are always fights, we do the same thing everyday, not even the school bus is safe to because its very unstable, within 1 week in this school, 3 fights happened. and don't bring expensive shoes or anything like that because people will on purpose step on your shoes or try to steal them. Teachers don't do a damn thing, don't teach, don't watch over the kids, or anything else a school used to do. Seems closer to an octagon match then a school. Repeatedly up there to deal w things, that never, not once resolved!Appears to be a racist kinda school in my opinion. I will start calling the police every time e I gotta deal w some kid there for now on. Cuz they sure ain't doing anything but sweeping g issues under rugs Done w it!!!! I will press charges and file protective orders and make the other kids leave the school for now on. Worst school InThe district, hands down!!!!

I do not like this school because you are not allowed in the classrooms to check on your child to see how they are doing. I do not get feedback on how my child is progressing in her class. I do not know if she is having difficulties or not with learning. The teachers do not interact or communicate with me. I have never had this problem with other schools.

This is not a bad school but it is not a good one either. I would say if this was a bad school my parents would have took in me out because they’ve done it before. This is way batter than my last school. My last school was EE Smith u hated it. The teachers would be so mad about everything little thing. But overall this is not that bad of a school

This school is bad the teachers yell at you for no reason they give no homework and they suspend kids for eating wrong this school has a dress code because of the virus and the adim is so bad they don't do anything for you and I just would not wanna send your kid here

Dis school is not safe they are cheap and r not able to pay f to fix bathroom doors.The people r not welcoming most likely the staff they yell to much and people could be sensitive .They dress code is wack there lame don't recommend

I am a student here. The teachers usually don't care for our mental health, and don't know how to teach. Some of them are kind, usually the newer ones that haven't been overwhelmed by how bad this place is yet. The fights are petty, and the intolerance level is pretty high. The children are insufferable, stupid, immature, and act like psych wards patients(i should know). They have a horrible principal, who's rude and aggressive to the students. Do NOT send your children here. It's also extremely dirty. Cockroaches are a normality here. Just don't go.

It depends on the teacher some are entirely to strict on the no hoodie policy claiming " we cannot see you or your face " which makes no sense because we have mask and you can barely see our face anyway, make it make sense

My last year here was in 2020 im in the westover highschool now, I understand needing to find education near home but please don't send your children to this school system. I was here all through middle school and now I have both emotional scars and trauma, none of the teachers here seem to actually do their job they let the students do whatever to each other and get away with it. For students with disadvantages such as ADHD or Autism or even one who just don't have access to internet they do absolutely nothing for. They really don't care about you or your children here.

Compared to all of the other schools I've been to, this one has got to be the worst. I'm mostly saying that because of the students. I haven't had a problem with any of the teachers, but the kids. The kids are awful. I won't blame the school for the students' behavior, however, I will blame them for their low scores and growth amongst students. Most stay at the same level or even dropdown. I'm not sure what's the exact root of the problem but all I know is this school is definitely not good if you want to send your kid to a school that takes pride in its educational values. Oh, yeah, don't send them here if they're suffering from any anxiety or depressive disorders. The number of times I had an anxiety attack was surreal.

i go to westover now im going to the 7th graade this school is terrible some of the teachers dont care im sick oif this school some days ii have came home crying for the mean things the teachers have said i reallly dont like thiis school thgee kidss there are bad someone even stole my cell phone im trying to hang in there for 7th grade but for 8th grade im goingg some where elese

Westover middle school: Very upset with this school. My child was assaulted and I was not notified, or any follow up happen that I know of. I sent emails to vice and proicnipal with no follow up. Our kids were made to stand outside in the rain because the doors were locked after 230pm. It is too late for choice applications for next year so I am continuing to be on top of teachers, grades and my childs behavior

I'm in the military and for two years I coached football and baseball at WOM before PCS'ing. During my time there every teacher that I met showed nothing but concern for all of the students, by going above and beyond for preparing those kids for the EOG's. Yes there are some trouble makers at that school just like every school other school in this area. The only negative thing that I wittness at the school during my time there was the lack of support that the parents and community gives to WOM. I plan on coming back to the area and continue to coach there cause I just love the positive atmosphere that WOM has to offer to it's students. Sincerly Coach Carr
