Our staff is adept at listening to the concerns of parents and acting to rectify any issues. We believe that by working with our parents, we can make the best educational environment for our students. Beyond the spiritual development of our students, we have superior academics, placing our graduates at the top of the area high school rankings. This is a special place to work, teach and grow.

If there was a rating with 6 stars I would give it to St. Mary's. With the world as it is, I greatly appreciate the way the teachers and staff at St. Mary's instruct our children. We have had three of our four children attend St. Mary's from K-8th. Honestly, as a non-Catholic I initially was very opposed to the idea. Boy was I wrong! It is awesome to see how our kids approach life's challenges and temptations. They have a developed capacity for forgiveness and compassion. They stand up for kids that aren't in the mainstream socially. They say a prayer for people injured when they hear an ambulance. Also, St Mary's graduates excel at the high school level and are well represented on homecoming floats! Our children will face many ethical decisions throughout life. How they handle these situations directly impacts how much joy, love and success they achieve. For our family, it makes sense that the school they attend be able to help them form a sense of self based on what God wants for us. Lastly, there is one poor review from 2008. Much has changed since then including several new teachers. Best of luck in whatever school you decide to send your children! Mark

St. Marys school has great faith formation and rates at the top academically. This is the fifth year my son has been going to this school.

St. Mary s provides the highest quality education in a safe, Christ-centered environment. We see the impact of having small classroom sizes & one-on-one interaction between student/teacher. Uniforms allow classmates impressions based on actions, not brands. Our children benefit from frequent visits & open conversations with Fr. Dan/Fr. Bill. Our kids have the option to participate in Spring Lake School clubs/sports. 5th 8th grade boys/girls can play basketball on our own school team & be a cheerleader Go Cyclones! Band, gym, art, Spanish, music & choir are year round in addition to strong core curriculum. The lifelong friendships our children are making, the exceptional quality academic education, & strong moral guidance received by our teachers/staff on a daily basis greatly impacts life & values of our children, families, parishes & entire community. Our children s friends & family share the same values. St. Mary s provides an environment that we ve come to rely on. Interaction & guidance of fellow parents outside of school is similar to what you expect from relatives. St. Mary s is continuing to grow, listening to the needs of students, community & changing technology.

I love St. Mary's school. My daughter has attended since three year old preschool. I love the fact that all the kids know each other and the teachers know all the children. The teachers and staff are caring and loving. The academics is first rate...I've heard nothing but positive comments from teachers in high schools when they hear that children have attended St. Mary's school, the usually are way ahead of the public schools. I've never been happier in our choice to send our children to the Catholic School. We also love that God is a part of school and our children are being brought up to appreciate all that catholic education has to offer. Thank you St. Mary's School!

St. Mary's not only has excellent academic standards, but they teach in an environment of faith based values. My children are taught to be aware of their community and their contribution toward it. We have had the benefit of attending both Catholic and public education, and find the benefits of Catholic education are significant. St. Mary's is worth looking into!

St. Mary's has been a terrific school for our three kids. The staff is attentive, caring, and dedicated. Parents are committed to improving and furthering Catholic Christian values, which the kids display through kindness and caring for others. There is an atmosphere of acceptance and love here and protection from negative cultural influences. The academic achievement and success of St. Mary's students AFTER they leave the school is well documented by the local high schools. There is ample assistance to help pay the tuition, which is the lowest of all private schools in the Lakeshore area and the lowest of all Catholic Schools in the Grand Rapids area. The school has a beautiful gym, science lab, computer lab, and music/band facilities. The classrooms buildings are old, but well kept, but a brand new school is going to be built in 2014/2015 with state of the art classrooms. YAY! Also, the website currently is awful, but a new one is arriving soon as well. My 5th and 8th graders are getting new tablet computers this year. The school and the parishes that support St. Mary's have made a substantial investment in improving the technology and facilities.
