We are a newer family to the district (2 years in) and we were initially welcomed warmly in the beginning but not so much now. Specifically by the office admin lady Bridget. She is very mean, short, and disrespectful to myself and my kids. I am not sure what happened from the cheery spirit she had but this makes it hard when communications have to be had between the school and I. Everyone has bad days but this has been going on now for the last 7 months now. Academically- rigorous and good.Atmosphere/environment - If you are not rich or live on the bayou be prepared to not get more than the initial handshakes or conversations with the staff.

We have had a great experience at Spring Lake Intermediate School. The teachers have been fantastic and really care about their students. The staff is friendly and always willing to help.

As in all Spring Lake Schools, it appears that all the teachers and administrators care about is what they look like on paper. They couldn't care less about their students, and the teachers will discriminate based on disabilities, race, etc. And as if this is bad enough, the student environment is terrible. Students have attempted suicide because of situations that have happened in school. The students are materialistic, money is a priority, and they will discriminate other students that don't completely fit the 'Spring Lake type'. If your kids aren't perfect looking, incredibly athletic, not rich, and not perfect looking, they will not be able to handle the student environment. This goes for all Spring Lake schools, I would highly recommend not sending your children to any Spring Lake education facility.
