I have had 3 children to go through Bethel. We have absolutely loved every year there, every teacher, field trip, and function. Mr. Critell is an incredible principal and has been an integral part of the overall experience there.

Bethel Elementary has been an exceptional school for my two children (grades 4 & 5) who have attended since kindergarten. They have provided support when needed (challenge for one child and literacy support for another). The Principal is available, receptive, and open to parent feedback. My children absolutely love their school. I love how much my children have learned there, and the positive environment they get to learn in each day. I cannot say enough wonderful things about our school! We LOVE Bethel!

The schools in this area are excellent. Not sure why Great Schools has this at a 6 when if you click on the schools, they are an 8 or higher.

This is our 3rd year at Bethel and we love it! The teachers are great to work with and I couldn't be happier with our school. I also have a son with learning issues and they have bent over backwards to accomodate his needs.

When we moved to Greenville area Bethel Elementary seemed like a good school but we never thought that we would encounter a cruel and rude teacher. My first grader son was coming home from school saying he was bad and no worth to trust because he talked to much. After several incidents and e-mails we went to the principal assistant but they didn't help, they'll always support the teachers first. This "Mrs. Betsill" was nothing but a nightmare for all my family, she should not be an example for kids.

I have two children attending this school. One has a severe peanut allergy and the school administration and teachers were wonderfully accommodating! Also I have been pleased with the educational standards, incentives to get the children to read and emphasis on making learning fun. While a school is only as good as your child's teacher I am so pleased that my kids have loved every teacher they've had and I as a parent am very happy with how much my children have learned and that they look forward to school as a safe, enjoyable environment! I will add that as a parent if you get involved in PTA and volunteering your experience will improve as you will know more of what your kid is doing at school and how much this school actually cares for its students.

My family and I moved to the Greenville area this year, and I was relieved to find that Bethel Elementary was rated pretty highly. The school that my child attended previously was an outstanding school, so I had high standards for Bethel. Bethel has been nothing short of a parents worst nightmare since day one. I was given the "run around" when trying to enroll my child. The teacher that was assigned to my child has no business teaching. She spends more time nit picking and focusing on coloring technique than actually teaching valuable skills (2nd grade). Also, when we contacted administration with our concerns, we were told they would address the teacher with our concerns and get back to us, but never did. I feel this school is not concerned at all with the concerns of parents, and I am highly disappointed in everything we have experienced so far.

My children have both attended Bethel and I can say that we have had a wonderful experience. The teachers are excellent and use different strategies to accomodate different learning styles. They incoropate fun innovative approaches to teaching. The admininstration is available and truly cares for the sucess of each student. They understand that while standarized tests are important they are not the only standard that measures a students success. Bethel is a place where children can feel safe and secure and receive a great foundation for lifelong learning.

I couldn't ask for a school that's better for my children than Bethel Elementary. The teachers and staff truly care for the children that attend this school. It has the feel of a family and the kids are comfortable and happy within the halls and classrooms. I am so grateful for the way the teachers interact and teach my children. Such a fabulous place to be with wonderful technology all the tools they need to succeed.

Bethel is a big school and that impacts the quality of education children receive there. It values products more then learning process and earning good testing results appears to be their primary goal. When a school projects are graded more on neatness then creativity then this school cares more on satisfying certain format then fostering creative thinking necessary for our children's success in the 21st century..
