This school is a Leader in Me Lighthouse school and exceptional! We moved from a previous GCS school and have been at Mauldin 2 years. The teachers and all staff are caring and friendly and the Leader in Me program has helped my kids and allowed us many opportunities to be engaed in the school as parents. We had a concern with our daughter and the principal responded to our phone call in minutes, scheduled a conference and worked with the AP and teacher to get it resolved quickly. If you want a school that loves kids, enroll at Mauldin Elementary!

With the exception of a single 4th grade teacher and 2 very good assistant principals, this is the worst elementary you can send your kid to. Hurry and get in the lottery for another school if you are zoned to go here! The principal does not support parents when teachers are bullying kids and ruining kids' love of learning. I am ashamed that I allowed my son to be tormented at this school.

My family's experience at this school has been less than subpar. After recent review of the statistics for the school, I see why our experience was horrible and why no one seemed to care!

My son just started a few weeks ago coming from Hampton roads Virginia area and I must say the schooling here is much better. The activities, the nurse, the cleanliness of the school all top knotch. I love the app the teacher is using to keep us informed on the daily progress. Very good school.

I have had one child go through Mauldin and I had to withdraw the my other child. I really thought this was a great school and then Mr. Parker left and it seemed to go downhill for us since then.

I had three children attend Mauldin Elementary over the past ten years. The school cares about the kids. I feel like we had a good cross-section of teachers. As at every school, some were wonderful and some were okay. The nurse has changed in case that's a big concern (2011).

I disagree with the last post. The nurse at Mauldin is awesome! She takes great care of the kids - truly cares about them! I have seen her with all sorts of sick children and she knows what she's doing and is very sweet to them. I also like that she sends them home if they need to be home so they don't infect other children. I think she's doing a great job!

the nurse is uneducated and mean. please change the nurse at this school. other than that it is a good school
