I definitely recommend this school. It has its pros and cons of course. But overall it is a great school and i'm sure your child will enjoy their time here.

My child's experience has been great. The first couple years were a little rough as the school was making some much needed changes. The current principal and staff of teachers are hands down amazing. The new teachers that have come in have high expectations for their students and are willing to help. The students are placed where they need to be if they are advancing in a subject or needing additional help in a subject. The math program just cannot be matched by any other school. The principal has worked hard to bring enrollment rates up and to try to better harbor the relationship between the church and the school. I really cannot say enough good things about this school. My son was very quiet and they have encouraged him and grown his confidence every year.

Hope Lutheran School is a wonderful place for children to learn and grow! I had three children attend all the way through from Preschool through 8th grade. They all entered into high school very well prepared and many children have gone into high school both private and public and and did awesome! The Current principal is outstanding! The teachers go over and above their call of duty to care for the children! Security is a top priority and each day new ways are being looked at for the children's safety, It is a wonderful place to be and you feels God's love through the entire building. I would recommend Hope Lutheran School to everyone!

We have 3 children at Hope, with the first starting Kindergarten in 2008. I am very happy that they are at Hope. The school is well-run. The academics are strong. There are plenty of activities and sports. The kids all really enjoy the school.

We have had a student at Hope Lutheran School since 2008 and have now experienced each teacher since then, some multiple times. Whenever, we have voiced concerns or had questions they have always been met with a listening ear. We have always experienced cooperative communication from the three principals we have experienced at the school.

This school is not the same school as it use to be. Unfortunately a school that once thrived on Christian beliefs now has resorted to being deceitful in all aspects. The teachers just go through the motions, they have been at the school for too long & lost their love of teaching. If your child needs any extra help in their studies the school will tell you they are not equipped to help your child. The teachers do not have the patience or skills to give any extra help. The teachers are not knowledgeable in the new standards of the core curriculum & are not wanting to learn it. There was a long standing family that fell on hard times, they were looking for some financial assistance but were told they either paid their tuition or they would need to leave the school. Some school policy's are not written in the handbook but children are being punished. There is a dress code that is to be followed but some children do not have to follow the guidelines. If the child is a teachers favorite depends on if they will be punished or not. If your child is tardy to school 4 times they are required to have "private dinning" which is they are to sit all alone in the lunchroom at lunch time and not speak to anyone else.There is a split between the school and the church. The school and church do not consider themselves as one cohesive unit. The teachers blame everything on the Pastor for all the problems the school has instead of realizing they (the teachers) are the problem. This past year around 10 staff members left the school and the previous year the principle and his wife, a teacher, left suddenly. One class this year had lost 90% of its students. Instead of this particular teacher being held responsible the school is blaming the parents of the class. This Fall the school attendance is way down, the only new students are the families receiving the free first year tuition. The yearly auctions purpose is to enhance the school but is spent on text books and teachers salaries not on school improvements. (Shouldn't tuition cover text books & salaries) Strangers have been found wondering the halls as they can walk in through the church doors and roam freely at all times. (there are no safety doors separating the church & school) This is a huge safety issue for the children! Please take the time to research this school thoroughly before considering it for your child.

Our daughter has been going to Hope Lutheran School since pre-school and we couldn't be happier. This is a wonderful place to send your children to school. The staff is wonderful and very friendly. I couldn't imagine my daughter going anywhere else and feel truly blessed to have found Hope.

Our son started kindergarten at Hope this past Aug. and we feel truly blessed to have him enrolled in such a caring, compassionate school. The student/teacher ratio is outstanding which allows all students to receive individualized attention. His teachers have done an excellent job of spurring our son's curiosity and love of learning, both academically and in the Christian faith. They offer a wide variety of extracurricular activites for the students as well. We couldn't be happier to have our son at such a great school!

Outstanding school. We have seen our son grow leaps and bounds academically and LOVE the small student to teacher ratio. It allows the teachers to give more individualized attention and tailor the lessons to what works for each child. The principal greets each student by name at the door in the morning and the faculty and staff make an effort to know each family. The older students mentor the younger students, and the school participates in several service projects. The students have a strong sense of community and the world. It has been such a blessing to see our son grow in Christ during his years at HLS.

We have two children that attend HLS. It has been an amazing place for both our kids. They are both blessed to have individualized attention from the caring staff. Both kids have grown both academically as well as in their knowledge of Christ. The school offers small class sizes which allow the students individual needs to be recognized and met. As a parent, it has been such an advantage to know each family in our kids class. I feel that my kids are truly loved by the staff as well as the parents of Hope.

Hope Lutheran School is a perfect fit for our family - just big enough to offer a lot of extracurricular activities, but small enough to still have that "family" feel. Hope offers an excellent education with a variety of extracurricular activities: sports, choir, band, mathc club, robotics & more. My youngest is still in school at Hope. My oldest is now in high school. She breezed through her freshman year, taking all honors classes was able to be competitive in high school sports and participated in marching band. High schools love Hope students! Just ask them! Special needs are sometimes a little bit more difficult, but not impossible, to accommodate. Accommodations have been made for us over the years. There will be issues among kids anywhere you go. Yes, sometimes even at Hope. We are all human. It happens. In the 13 years we have been with the school, our experience has been that parents, teachers and administrators care a great deal about the kids, and genuinely work with you to try to resolve issues. The best part of Hope is that, every day, the kids hear how much God loves them. The faculty and staff at Hope are committed to sharing that message every day.

Hope Lutheran School is a wonderful place! All of the school /church community and staff is invested in giving the children a supportive, Christ centered, and exceptional education. I highly recommend this school and church community.

I could not be happier with Hope Lutheran School. My child is learning not only academic skills, but how to be a compassionate, caring person. I feel like Hope Lutheran School is truly a second family for us. I highly recommend it for anyone...I really love our school!

If you are looking for a christian education, Hope provides it. If you are looking for a christian environment, don't count on it. The students, teachers, and parents (many) do not bring true christian values to their everyday lives. More bullying children, arrogant rude parents, and cruel teachers than you'd find in an quality public school. My children have been happier, more successful, and better educated since leaving. Please, don't be fooled by the 'christian education' tag line. It's a farce.
