4 kids in & out of MCA. Hub’s graduated from there in 95. Some past years have been a real doozy with Administration, board & dress code. We actually, wrote the school off at one pount! I’ve noticed MCA gets less & less militant with students (think legalistic heaviness) as the years go by.The dress code is simple & not weird- jeans are allowed finally yay!The school has a Chaplain now & the Spiritual level of the school has massively, brightened & leveled up!Most teachers are wonderful humans & so caring— I’ve heard the Elementary children’s voices spilling into the halls as they start their classroom day with prayer & worship! Along with pledges! The children are prayed over frequently, by their teachers- in public and private! Prayer starts all parent/teacher conference meetings as well! It is soooo wonderful to have that gift!My children have definitely, grown in their intelligence AND relationship with the Lord because of MCA! And MCA keeps trending towards positive changes as the years have gone by. So that’s hopeful that they are not stagnant.I’d say only thing MCA is simply not equipped to handle are learning disabilities. And I definitely, am hoping to see more in the way of school safety (ie. Intruder, parking lot patrol with young drivers etc).

We moved two kids to Maranatha from a public school, and they fit right in! Academic standards are very high, so students have to work hard and be extra studious, but it pays at the end - MCA graduates are well ahead of peers in college readiness. We found great staff and parent group, a very welcoming atmosphere, and no bullies or mean-spirited students here. It’s the least exclusive and most diverse private school around.

Would not recommend this school. Administration is a joke. The dress code is also a joke. 2 out of 5 teachers actually teach.

All schools have politics but at Maranatha it's extremely apparent where certain students and families stand. It's obvious for some families that have been there a while, or students that have parents that work for the school, are given a free pass. A get out of jail card. To name a few - double standards on dress code, tardies being overlooked, outright skipping class, making inappropriate comments both in person, online bullying - things that all schools deal with, but for the cost of a private Christian school you expect more. Any issues that are brought up are swept under the rug, to protect Maranatha's "image". Those Christian values are there to some extent, but are swept aside when not convenient. Honestly our child had more Christian support at the public school level. It's all about checking off a box. On the educational side, the highschool English and Math department are pretty amazing, but that's it. The PE class final was a test on Peanuts....yes, Charlie Brown.....you don't expect a ton from PE, but seriously. The science class had "nature" walks - the kids Instagram posts during these walks showed the lack of educational value. Spanish - 1 chapter a month....our middle school student at a different school learned more in one month than our highschool teen learned in one semester. FYI - the "pod" system for COVID quarantine is non existent. If quarantine occurs, be prepared for online learning, where teachers don't always show or grade the assignments given. All in all, for a school that prides itself on Education and Christian values, that ship has long sailed. Maranatha may have been a great school years ago, but now it's a shell of it's former self.

Top Notch school in every way from the leadership to the staff, to the students, and the parents. Excellent! Magnificent!

It was painful to be involved with this school. I wish I had stayed away.

We have been at MCA for over 7 years and there is no other school that I would send my child to! She has learned so much educationally and spiritually. The educators are wonderful and they push the students to go their best.
