Strong administration. K-5 is strong, excellent teachers who genuinely care about each student, and help each student be the best version of themselves. Overall they deserve a 5 star rating. 6-8th grade leaves a lot to be desired. Teachers lack in these grades significantly from the previous grades. I wish I could give a higher rating overall but 6-8th grade really drags the rating down.

I have been the music teacher at Good Shepherd for five years, going on six, and I can't sing the praises for this school loudly enough. Good Shepherd was my first job right out of college and I couldn't have been more blessed to be led to this church and school community. First and foremost, the school administrators are, by far, leaders in their field. Ann McGuff and Sam Roy are supportive, caring, and forward thinking educators serving the students of the 21st Century. With a data-driven approach, Mrs. McGuff has led Good Shepherd to the top of the class in academics, placing above other schools in the State of Kansas and winning multiple academic awards. I could not ask to work for a better employer.Class sizes at Good Shepherd allow homeroom teachers to give individualized attention and differentiation to each student and provide challenging enrichment per each child's needs. The multi-tier system of support program in each grade level creates further instructional groupings throughout the day to reinforce skills and concepts to better support each child on his or her academic journey. The tennants of Christian faith and life are interwoven throughout the school community and lessons, building strong bonds of friendship and camaraderie between classroom peers. Both of my parents were educators, retiring after 41 years in the field and could not be more pleased and impressed, every time they visit a school function. Please don't hesitate to call the school office and request a tour, or to speak with Mrs. McGuff if you have more questions. We are excited to welcome you to our award winning school!

Good Shepherd has been everything I hoped it would be for my family. My girls have received an excellent education there, the test scores at this school are amazing, but most importantly my children have made great friendships with their peers and they love going to school. Children graduate from Good Shepherd very well prepared for high school, both academically and spiritually.

Good Shepherd has been terrible for my daughter. She is an incredibly gifted student, and has not been treated well by her teachers or her peers. The school didn't cater to her needs as a child with learning disabilities, and did nothing when she was bullied. I strongly dislike the school and it's curriculum.

Teaches to the child not just the class. It is so much more than a school, it's a community of like minded families. The other moms really reach out to include everyone and make everyone welcome! Can't say enough, one of the best decisions we have ever made.

My children receive not only a great education, but they are learning how to be Christians. They are building life long friendships as are the parents. The community is very supportive of one another in every way. Even when a child needs extra attention the staff goes the extra mile. Staff and other parents truly care about your children as well as your entire family.

Our three children attend Good Shepherd School. We are pleased with the expectations and individual attention our children receive. The communication from teachers is excellent and the staff from administration to support staff make a point to get to know each child and family individually. Our children are truly nurtured here and taught to live, love, and learn as Jesus taught.
