First contact at Righetti Was with Julie Santoyo /school counselor... Most very helpful.... Thank you Julie.... Just wish the transcript of students was easier transfer Information. Between both schools.... Sincerely Ms. Tina j Dugan.....

My son just graduated (class of '13) and I am so glad he is out of there. He took several AP English and history classes and most of them were a joke (except LeClair's and Greeley's). Not one piece of writing my son did was ever returned to him, let alone with feedback. I know most teachers do the best they can, but student numbers and lack of support have taken their toll. Leadership is weak (except for Ms. Evans who is very good at what she does). Programs are suffering due to funding cuts. I am a teacher at a different school and I am saddened and discouraged by the overall low standards I saw here. I've been told Righetti was once highly regarded.

The people in the office constantly make mistakes, they are very judgemental, have only a one sided view. There are really good teachers who do make you really want to learn. But then there's teachers who if you fall behind you get left behind, and others who let the students take over the class and they give up trying to teach the class even though some of us actually just want to do our work. I recommend Delta other than there principal, the staff is great, you go there and you learn they work with you and if you have problems with the work the really do try there best to help you.

One of the worst run schools my child has ever attended. There is no leadership at the upper level. There are some good teachers in the school but they let the bad ones run the school.

Righetti offers 24 AP and Honors courses, the most of any high school in N. Santa Barbara County. Just in the past 5 years, our alumni have attended MIT, Yale, Harvard, Columbia, Caltech as well as every UC up and down the state. We offer multiple ROP courses giving students academic rigor and workplace training simultaneously. Recently our film program alumni have been involved in the creation of the films "Life of Pi", "Brave", and "Alice in Wonderland". Just within the past year, Righetti alumni have received 2 Oscars and 4 Emmy Awards. The Agriculture/FFA and Industrial Arts departments offer courses that support the economics and industry of our area, with courses and training in everything from welding to viticulture. No other high school in N. Santa Barbara County can offer the opportunity to compete at the very highest level of athletic competition in the PAC-7. A PAC-7 championship represents the honor of being the very best on California's Central Coast.

I attended this school from 1976-1980. Now I am investigating whether or not I should pursue a lawsuit against the school, the staff, and of course certain kids. Why? Because during this period I was bullied, harassed and harangued. It got so bad I dreaded going to school. I went from a straight A student to a mediocre one. Now as I approach retirement I intend to make this school pay for every single day that I had to suffer. I also intend holding those students whom I can track down, fully accountable and liable. If I have my choice I will ask the judge and jury to fine them 99% of all their assets -to a charity of my choice,
