We are very happy with this school and feel like it’s provided a rigorous yet nurturing education to our child. The greater school community is wonderful and makes for very fun and enjoyable school events. School itself is a solid day with the fundamentals and several electives to provide balance. Kids in the lower grades enjoy Spanish, PE, art, music, gardening, and mindfulness classes in addition to everything else. Several resource teachers are available to provide extra support and extra challenge.Reading program is phonics-based (Superkids) and math differentiation is offered starting in 3rd grade. The aftercare program is robust and offers a variety of classes, including art, band, choir, French, and sewing. Sports programs are in place starting in kindergarten for organized soccer and baseball and eventually starting in 3rd kids have the opportunity to participate in several CYO sports. The school community is a lot of fun and very inclusive. Bullying is not tolerated and students are reminded every morning of their goals, which include being an upstanding citizen.

I have one daughter in the school, and found it to provide a rigorous academic environment. Additionally the community of parents and educators is extremely supportive. I highly recommend this school.

This is a school that focuses on what's truly important: growing children into capable, conscientious and well-centered young adults. The priority is giving kids the necessary fundamental tools they need to navigate in the world and pursue their passions... whether that be service, success or personal enrichment.

I am a parent for two kids at St. Philip school the experience is so devastating for my kids and the family in general. they manipulated my kids trying to put psycho emotional stress on both of them to convince us that they need psycho educational test calming its free paid by the government. not aware of the amount of stress they put on the student and families. on the other hand when we as a parent refused the test, teacher and principle made a panorama of stereotype threat on the kids as a retaliation by making the student feeling unwelcome not respectful which lead to unsafe learning environments, I am astonished by such an acts from a professional educators to be at that level of neglection to the complacence of conduct policy with small kids.

Great K-8 education for our son that prepared him for a great SF high school.

A positive educational journey for my 3 children who attend, the community is amazing and supportive in so many ways, I cannot recommend this school highly enough, you have to visit and tour to experience it for yourself.

We have been parents for 18 years here. The highlights of this school have been the amazing community, strong academics and a great sports program. The students feel safe and happy. They continuously get into the high schools of their choice and are successful there. We have been here through various highs and lows and have always been very happy with the wonderful overall experience we have had. The amazing community has continued throughout and will continue far into the future.

St. Philips is a small academically excellent school that also creates a tight knit community. For a non-public school in Noe Valley, the school is a surprising mix of the expected very high achieving families and some working class families. it's also nice to see that there are quite a few legacy families, whose parents and even grandparents also attended St. Philips. Overall, our experience couldn't be better.

I feel grateful and lucky that we found St. Philip's and our kids go there. The parent and family community is extraordinary. We have fun, we support each other, and we care about each other's kids. Sports are organized through the school from K-8 which has been great for my kids who love sports. The school is progressive in its expression of Catholic values which is important to me. My partner is not Catholic and he has never experienced feeling unwelcome. I am confident that my kids are receiving an excellent education at St. Philip's with a strong emphasis on critical reading and writing which I think is key. While we have experienced challenges over the past few years, the community and leadership has turned things around. I encourage prospective families to visit the school and attend the open houses so that you can meet our students, teachers and parents.

A great school community, with a faculty that work hard to prepare the student for High-school and beyond. The schools new leadership is supportive and is appreciative of the help parents/volunteers bring to the table this leads to a strong supportive environment for the kids to thrive socially and academically.

St. Philip’s these days is what happens when a thriving community partners with a passionate faculty. The teachers are continuing to push the boundaries of education and the parents and families help support the. The new principal is wonderful and encourages this kind of collaboration. Not a group to rest on their laurels, this faculty is always looking to make the student experience richer. My children are thriving at the school and the best part is as a parent we have made life long friends while giving our kids a great education.

My kids have attended St Philip for 10 years and it's an amazing and welcoming community, a wonderful and 'neighborhoody' place. Teachers are strong, and the best San Francisco high schools have been quite comlimentary of St Philip graduates for several years.

This is an amazing school that we count ourselves fortunate to attend. We have two children at St Philip with another starting next year. The new principal has the school back on the right track, the community of families are close and always willing to lend each other a hand, and the teachers are amazing with the kids. This school is a hidden gem!

Fantastic since the old principal was given the boot. This place is on an upward trajectory and the kids are getting into the very best high schools in SF (and are telling us they are well prepared).

This school has a very positive environment for children from Kinder through 8th, to learn academically but socially as well. All of the grades interact with each other regularly, so it has a “one big family” feel. The teachers are very solid and the parent community is extremely involved and having a good time while supporting the school!
