This school was an amazing fit for my son. He was nurtured, allowed to be himself, and pushed to grow, mature and be independent. He went there for five years and successfully graduated and is now attending Community College. Highly recommend.

6 Years it went downhill every year. Inexperienced and poor administration staff.

Oak Hill School is an outstanding place for kids 7-22 on the autism spectrum. Their integrated approach, with an emphasis on developing strong supportive relationships between staff and students gets great results. Kids that have made little to no progress in more traditional settings have made huge strides here. Oak Hill serves a wide range of needs, from severely impacted non-verbal, to high functioning kids on a college prep track. Oak Hill is a qualified "Non Public School" - which means that tuition is usually paid by the placing school district. Oak Hill has a beautiful setting in Marin County, and has students coming every day from as far south as Pacifica, as far north as Sonoma, and various East Bay locations. My son has done better at Oak Hill than at any other school - he is making good academic progress, and excellent social progress. He is in the college prep track, and his teacher is outstanding.

We love Oak Hill school. Our 13 year old son, who has moderate to severe autism (characterized by limited speech and high anxiety, yet good intelligence and strong motivation to connect with people) has been going here since the summer of 2013 and for him and for us (his parents), it felt like finally coming home. The setting is beautiful (in the hills overlooking San Anselmo, yet still very close to town) and there is a serenity and positivity to the people and place that is palpable - one strongly senses that staff and students generally really like being there. Our son is treated with respect and, in turn, is expected to respect others. He is challenged academically according to his very specific learning and communication style, which sets him up for success. We really like the school's focus on emotional intelligence as well - self knowing, perspective taking, consideration of others, i.e. the learning goes far beyond rote and repetitive "static" skills. AJ has developed a close connection with a number of the staff and his classmates. We couldn't be happier with our school!

For several years, I searched for the right school for my now 12 year old autistic son. As well intentioned as other schools and their staff members were, my son was failing to thrive socially and academically. Finding Oak Hill was the best thing that ever happened for us! The staff there is more caring and dedicated than anything we have ever experienced. My son, like many other kids, loses motivation very quickly. At Oak Hill, they are constantly coming up with new and creative ways to work with my son and keep him motivated. We are truly grateful to have found Oak Hill!
