I have 2 children at this school and our experiences with the teachers have been amazing. Hidden Valley Public School uses the Bridges Math curriculum, the same one Mark Day school uses (except without the $ 40K a year tuition). By 3rd grade my son could do math faster than my husband and I based on the visualization strategies of their math program.

My son started kindergarten here this year and we've been pleased with the school and teachers we've come across so far--if you participate in activities/volunteer you get to know them pretty quickly. The Principal and her teaching staff have created a learning environment that is incredibly supportive, creative and fun. The younger kids all have an older "buddy," from upper grades, and there is an emphasis on emotional growth as well as academic. The kids are encouraged to think about their impact on the environment, and on helping others in need. The teachers seem to understand that kids this age need a lot of play time and exercise too. My son's teacher is extremely involved and we've been lucky he's had such a great teacher to start his school career.
