“We couldn’t be happier with our experience at LVE The teachers are incredibly dedicated, going above and beyond to create a nurturing and engaging learning environment for the kids. They truly care about each student’s growth, both academically and personally. The sense of community here is remarkable – families are actively involved, and there’s a real sense of collaboration between the school and parents. The principal is also outstanding, always approachable, supportive, and deeply invested in the success of every child. We feel so fortunate to be a part of this school and highly recommend it to any family looking for a strong, supportive learning community!”

Incredible school, with fabulous teachers, support staff, and leadership. Wonderful learning environment, safe, and collaborative, and I am deeply appreciative of all who give 100% to the children. Top to bottom, EXCELLENT SCHOOL!! Having said that, there are a few parents who seem to have "perspectives" I do not agree with. A little on the entitled side of the fence, I believe.

Despite being a small school set in the beautiful hills of Lucas Valley, this school has a dark truth. They allow rampant bullying with no consequences , kids are routinely hit on the play ground , little to no supervision, and no accountability for poor staff choices. This has resulted in a bad behavior wins and good behavior loses environment that is well known by the kids at school. They openly talk about it. There are pockets of excellence but poor executive functioning by the principal has left this school in shambles. I would not send my child here unless they are known to bully other kids. They will get all the chances and support if they are that kid. If not, good luck!

So happy with the teachers, new principal and staff. My kids love going to school and all the staff have been a big part of this. They all work so great together. I am very confident that they are getting an excellent education. I feel very fortunate that my kids have the opportunity to go to such a fantastic school.

The teachers and campus are terrific and really committed to the students. Used to love this school until the old principal retired recently. The new principal is not a fit for this school and has a tendency to vilify and punish students.

Dixie is overly concerned about the school's rating via test scores. In Kindergarten, they "teach to the test" and the amount of homework is often lamented by parents. While I'm sure there are some very kind teachers, the number of children who moved classes because of the way a child was treated by a teacher was astonishing.

We love Dixie school! We have found that the teachers are very committed to the students. In most grades there is a somewhat leveled curriculum to help the kids learn at the pace that suits their needs. The parent support of the school is comprehensive. Truly, the common goal of the Principal, administrative staff, teachers and parents is to provide the best, most well rounded education possible to the students.

We are new to the district and have been very happy with Dixie. My son's kindergarten teacher is excellent - attentive, communicative and sensitive to his individual needs. The families we have met so far have been incredibly warm and receptive. The principal is caring, involved and active. I've been impressed with the resources available to my child, the extra-curricular activities, and the involvement of the parents. So far, Dixie is an all-around great school!

The parents are involved and invested in their child's education. The kids do well on the State test because of this not because it's a good school. Most teachers teach to the test and are not invested with the kids. If can can afford private school, consider this before you send them to Dixie.

Dixie is an OK school but there is a lot of bullying going on there by the kids to other kids and by teachers bullying parents for no good reason. I have hope and pray the principle takes care of this for the new school year.

We moved here so are comparing to another public school in Bay Area: The teachers teach to the test -- literally reading from teacher manuals during class and work is straight from workbooks, etc. I think a good teacher creates his/her own curriculum using the textbooks and workbooks as supplements, not the be all end all. I also have to comment that the children frankly are not as well-behaved and nice as at other schools.
