We have supported SJS for many years. We have watched it falter and we saw that it was the result of some very negative parents. It seems that they are now gone. SJS and the staff stood strong and did not back down to these parent bullies. We have a very loving and caring staff and look forward to what the future holds. Our school is blessed to have such caring and devoted staff.

the worst place to have your kids, there is no respect, consideration or care. Being a catholic and see what teacher are capable of doing, made had seconds thoughts about my religion.

Terrible. After the principal of 30 something years passed, the morale, the kindness, and the compassion the school had diminished entirely.

I am so happy that I decided to put my children at this school. It has been an awesome experience so far. The administration is wonderful, very caring and responsive to parent needs and concerns. I had heard negative things about the school and some of the teachers, but I have found all those negative things to be false. I guess some people just have to have something to complain about. I could go through and name every teacher at the school that I have had an interaction with that I find just wonderful. Mrs. DeGross is just a super loving preschool teacher, Mrs. Vilchairiz is so good with the kindergarden students, Mrs. Johnson is great in first grade, all the kids love her. Mrs. Smolenmayer does such a good job preparing the kids for first communion, Mrs. Nieman is super patient, there are 2 new teachers in the next grade and they have made a great addition to the school, I just can't remember there names. Mrs. Shambaw teaches math to the big kids and she is always smiling. Mrs. Faley teaches the reading to the big kids and although everyone comments on how strict she is, the kids say she only is if you don't do what you should be doing, otherwise she is super nice. All the little kids love to hug her! She is the vice principal too and she has really done a great job with that. I personally wish she had decided to take the principal job with Mrs. Miller leaving, but I heard she didn't want to stop teaching. Anyway, this school is great. I know some people don't understand about the mixed grades, but it has been great. My children are challenged to learn even more. I heard that even one seventh grade student got to graduate because she was given the challenge of the 8th grade work and got tutored so she could do it. Other schools don't give kids this opportunity. This is really a great place. Don't pay attention to the few negative comments on here, those are just people who don't get there way on something and have to blame somebody. This is a great school!

My overall experience with this school is that it is FANTASTIC! There is no place better if you want your child to have a good education, devoted and caring teachers, leadership that is on the cutting edge of what is best in education, and if you want your child to grow up and take responsibility for their actions. The changes that have been made over the past few years have only made this school better. I support this school 100%

Pulling my children from this school was the best decision I could've made. The assistant principal and her vice are more interested in turning your children into mindless sheep than actually educating them. Enrollment is so low that grades are combined. Children are told that if something makes them uncomfortable they have to do it anyway and are not allowed to say no. This school has gone downhill fast in the last two years, please send your child somewhere else.

This is a great school, family environment and excellent teachers. We found 3 years ago for Pre k program for my son and for next year we moved my daughter from public school to St. Joseph and was the best thing for the whole family. We keep the kids until they graduate.

This is the first year my daughter has been to a.private school before. Its always been public school.. I am so glad I changed it for her. She loves it. The teachers really do care about the children and their attitude is so much more positive than the teachers at public schools. They take the time out to help the children with subjects they don't understand. Not just move on and not explain like the public schools. Bullying is NOT tolerated FINALLY!!! I have noticed a dramatic change in my daughter. One for the best!!! The new principal is excellent too! Taking the time out to really be involved with the children. I love the discipline that is instilled in the school as well. So greatful for this school!!!

My son attends this school and he loves it. All the students and teachers know him by name. Even though we are not Catholic, i believe attending church and learning about Catholism has benefitted him and at the same time teachers and other students are accepting of the fact that he is not Catholic. The school has excellent teachers and many extracurricular activities. Bullying is not acceptable and kids are taught to care and love one another. Diversity is celebrated and my son feels comfortable being him-- and not worried about doing what is the norm. They also have a before school daycare program that starts at 6am. If you check any other daycare in the area they start at 6:30am. They also have after school daycare program until 6pm. Teachers there are great, they make sure kids get their homework done before they go outside and play. I never have to worry about my son not finishing his homework by the time I pick him up.

Myself, my 5 brothers and my daughter attended St.Joseph School. It is one of the finest schools around and students are well rounded and sucessful both in academics, life, socially and spiritually and most go on to attend college.

St Joseph is more than a school, it is a family. The teachers and staff care for the kids as if they were their own. It's amazing how Ms Petkus the principal knows each and every student by name and NOT because a kid was in trouble. She really cares about the little persons that walk those halls. I also like the extra curricular activities that the school offers including art, computers and music and band.

My sister and I graduated from St Joes and set us on a path to successful careers. Now my son attends. Statistics and stack ranking prove the education he is currently receiving outshines many of schools in the area. There isn't a better choice.

I love St. Joseph, because of the great education it offers while teaching the students to care for others. The teachers are devoted, the parents involved and supportive, and the students are enthusiastic and hard working.
