Every since the restructuring during the 2013-2014 school year, the opportunities for students and their achievement have soared! Students went from 2 specials to 6 (PE, Art, Music, Computers, Library, and RW Lab), have new curriculum for reading and math, and have an intervention and enrichment block each day to fill learning gaps or to challenge students. Over the past three years, the percent of students achieving typical growth has exceeded the national average and the achievement gap is closing.

This school rewards your children for telling on one another. This only leads to children telling the teacher for every mistake a child makes. For example my son got a "red" for the day for sitting in his chair backwards, while the girl who told on him got moved up a color to "green" for telling on him. This behavior could have been corrected with a quick reprimand.Instead my son was humiliated in front of the class and the other girl praised. This is not how you teach children to follow the rules. My son has also been bullied for being white many times, but this is not a concern for the principle. My son has been attacked by 4 boys who kicked and hit him and when my son stood up for him self by pushing a child away, he had to sit out of recess for 3 days. The other children did not get any repercussion. If you have a choice I would avoid this school at all costs.
