I've had multiple children attend Tropico. Bullying is everywhere and fights are everywhere. Teachers could care less about responding to concerns. Security/grounds staff look, act and speak similar to the students themselves. Transportation department is constantly blaming the school for forgotten children while the school blames the transportation department. Principal is rarely seen on grounds. When adults are viewed on campus, they are grouped together in conversation amongst themselves. The kids are a second thought. They are probably in a bathroom vaping. The only time they are really concerned with the kids is if they are absent and lose out on the money for the kid being there. Office staff is rude and barely say anything to you when you come in even though they are not busy. Most parents I know are just trying to get through this school with the least amount of trauma to their children and make it to the high school where the staff at least seem like they care. I don't think anyone is delusional enough to think the kids have learned anything.

Itz bad the kids are bad the teachers most are bad they pass kids with straight Fs they dont dosapline kids they need them there for the money half of the kids have All Fs tell me how a kid that missus school often as and has all fs still gets to go to high school

TMS has gained a new Principal and a wonderful group of faculty and staff. Majority works together in anyway possible to make sure the children are receiving a successful education and a memorable time while attending the school. I think you better keep an eye out for TMS! Also, with that great group working together to get things done, "as they should." It's going to be a dynamic educational experience for any student who's entering the community as a Jr. High student at Tropico Middle School! United they stand & Divided they fall!

Love, love, love this school! My daughter is in the 7th grade and this is her 2nd year at TMS. The new admin with Principal Hernandez and Vice-Principal Herrera is absolutely wonderful! They're on top of any and all situations that may arise within the school, and deal with it promptly. TMS has a zero bullying policy and they take it very seriously. My daughter has excelled in all of her classes at TMS, and the teachers take the time to actually "teach" the kids unlike other schools we've attended being a military family. At first I was skeptical sending my child to this school from the hearsay of other parents. I'm glad that we decided to attend TMS. Your child will excel and achieve their potential IF the parents get involved with their education. Otherwise, one cannot expect much from their child if it doesn't begin at home!! TMS NEED PARENTS TO VOLUNTEER in order to make things happen for the kids such as dances, PTO, and volunteer their time!

I just love Tropico! I am going into 8th grade and I am moving. I will miss it very much. I know that if I had a choice I would go back. It is the best and all teachers are nice there! The music program's teacher is strict, funny, and really cool. I love everyone there!
