We are so pleased not only with the challenging academics but, more importantly, with the strong sense of community and faith.

Amazing school with an awesome community. Everyone is so welcoming! It's a great group of families and a very strong sense of community. Our son switched to this school in first grade and has thrived in every way. He loves going to school everyday! The teachers are great as is the administration. They have a top of the line STEM lab and our son has grown so much academically in this school. Highly recommend! We couldn't be happier!

Excellent school - proven by many awards. We are very lucky to have found St. Mark Catholic School in Plano, the best private school in Plano and Collin County! And, we have visited them all!

We had been school parents since 2008. This is a loving school community that is centered on Catholic teaching. The Catholic virtues are demonstrated by teachers and students daily. Recently, there are quite a few enrichment classes offered to the students. This make learning outside the classroom fun and engaging for students of today. In as much as I personally dislike the use of technology for the younger students, the school has stepped up their curriculum to cater to the I-Gen students. It was refreshing to see the changes made to incorporate wise use of technology in learning. This school can benefit from improving the program as it relates to varied learning style for students. There are students (and parents) that may need more resources to cater to different learning style. Reasonable accomodation/s should be offered to students as needed with the active participation of the school counselor and teachers.

My son feels nurtured, cared for, encouraged, and safe. The school goes out of its way to involve parents and grandparents. The teachers and especially the Principal, Mrs. Opon, and the Vice President, Mrs. Steinkirchner, are available anytime you need to discuss issues concerning your child. The community is welcoming and encompassing. This school is a village helping me raise my son as an educated Christian.

We currently have one child enrolled at St. Mark, and one child in high school who went through St. Mark. Our children have received an excellent education that is rigorous and faith-based. The teachers have provided guidance and support in each grade level. The community of St. Mark is our family and has provided us with a home away from home. St. Mark Catholic School is an exceptional school and we are pleased to be a part of such a first-rate community.

We left St..Mark's after witnessing numerous events of teachers yelling at students and our child reaching an all time low self esteem. Numerous sessions with teachers who at one time told us that they are too busy to write down positive things about our child on a daily report, but thought nothing of 4 or 5 marks for getting out of line or talking when not called upon.(helping a friend who got hurt). The school counselor is useless. She told me that she didn't have time to work with our child as she shoved a binder in our faces telling us that there are 45 to 50 other "Kids just like this " that she " has to deal with ". The Pastor choses to turn a blind eye to the reasons why children are being removed from the school. Chalks it up to people come and go and it all equals out. I was wondering if I was alone in this but when we arrived at the new school and found 5 other families had moved from there also, I knew we made the right decision. My child was a C and D student while at St. Mark's, and is now an A and B student at the new school and is happy and thriving. Bottom line, the families are great, the teachers seem angry, and the pastor refuses to affect change.

St. Mark is a truly wonderful school and I feel my children are so blessed to be here. I am excited to say the school has gone through a rebirth and is focusing on making sure the students needs are being met individually. Plus they keep adding new and wonderful programs so any child can find something they love while attending this school. But most importantly, they are teaching my children to grow into strong and responsible adults who understand the need to have Christ in their lives.

Send your kids here if you want them to see adults (parents and teachers) teaching exclusion, lack of compassion for others, lack of tolerance, and patting themselves on the back for how great they are.

My children are each unique and have their own needs. They are all thriving and loving school, developing independence and making good grades. This is a direct result of the teachers and this wonderful school.

I am so saddened to read some of the posts regarding St. Mark. I am a parent of 2 St. Mark students who have received extra support and kind and caring direction. Are they held accountable? Yes! Are they held responsible? Yes! Are they growing, maturing, learning to care for others? Yes! This is why I have been paying for them to attend a great school. St. Mark stands above the rest with their traditions, values, and strong sense of Christianity. My experience has been that the entire staff is open to communication at any time. They are open to hearing any concerns and if someone has a complaint, my advice is to visit with the person directly instead of a public posting.

We currently have 4 children at this school and could not be more pleased. Academics are top notch, teachers are caring with very open communication, and the overall feeling in the building is warm and inviting. I feel very comfortable talking to any staff member if I have a question. And fellow families are just as friendly. My kids come home all the time excited about what they did in school today, and coming from public school, that is such a welcome change! But even more important is the emphasis on their spiritual development. Even our youngest children talk and sing of God now. And when they make a sad choice at home, to hear them talk it through based on what their teachers have taught them, is just amazing. I am so grateful we are able to send our children to a wonderful school like this!

My three children have been attending this school from the last two years and they were coming from public school. The school meet our expectations academically but not in their treatment with the kids. My children were telling me very "unfair" and "unprofessional" comments from the teachers so I decided to star volunteer in the school weekly to observe those comments and it is really sad to say they were correct. Many teachers have been in this school for 15-20 years and should be retired and their way to keep control of the kids is screaming and " threaten" them all day long with checks or going to detention. I have seen many "unfair" and "unprofessional" in the school. You feel like you are in a Military Academy more than a Catholic School. The PE class is a joke ( you should the coaches that do nothing other than looking with a "mad face" at the kids while swinging their whistle. They never smile even to a parent when you pass by) as well as the music class . They just practice and practice the songs for the mandatory Friday Mass. They do not play any instruments or the few they have in the classroom cannot even been touched or you get a "check".Since the arrival of the new Principal the school have changed few good things but I really do not know if she is aware or can do anything regarding the "teacher treatment and behavior" issue. We are really considering dropping our kids from this school by the end of the year if we do not see a change.

This school has terrific academics. There is some homework every day, but it's not overwhelming. The communication with teachers is outstanding and the integration of technology is a huge upgrade. Beside the outstanding academics, the positive environment, ethics, service to others and value system is second to none. We're so happy to have found this school for our 3 children. We wouldn't think of sending them anywhere else.

My poor child had to go through 6 grades. 6 grades before I finally believed the terrible things I was being told by my child.

St. Mark is a great school for teaching the whole child inside and out. My two children went to the school from preschool through eighth grade and were well prepared for high school academics and social issues. The teachers respected my children and taught them what kindness, compassion, and understanding were while teaching them boundaries and self respect. If I could do it all over again-I would do it the exact same way. Thank you St. Mark!

Two of my children are currently students at St. Mark, and one graduated last year and attends a local Catholic high school. All have attended since preschool, and we couldn't be happier with our experience there! As with anything, if you put more into it, you will get more out of it. My husband and I have always been very active in the school serving as volunteers in many capacities. We have met many other families through our involvement. It has also allowed us to see what goes on during the day, to see our children in their learning environment and how the teachers interact with the students. I am always reassured after I leave the school that my children are in capable and loving hands. My children are happy, well-adjusted and thriving in their education and spiritual lives. My oldest child is excelling in high school while taking pre-AP classes and is very active in several school clubs/activities. I give credit to St. Mark Catholic School for everything she received there to mold her mind, body, and spirit.
