We transferred to this school under the leadership of Principal Arrend. Since his predecessor is the principal, we have had several problems. The teachers simply do NOT care. I even had a teacher walk out of an ARD meeting and the school leadership did nothing. I informed her that her behavior was inappropriate and showed that she did not care or value my child or their education. I should have known then to transfer. Because of the demographic, they are used to parents being passive and not playing an active role in a child's education. Because of this mentality, the school's rating continues to drop. They do not give homework and are doing the students a huge disservice. They say that they rank low because the school has quite a few ESL students, and to an extent this may be true, but from what I have seen, the teachers do not provide a supportive or caring environment. Their thinking is that since the ESL student's drag their scores down, why bother to teacher. I would not recommend this school.

This school is horrible. I wish I could rate no stars. I previously had a review done last year, but it mysteriously disappeared. So I guess I will reiterate the fact this school is comparable to inner city schools. DO yourself a favor and save yourself some money on your rent or mortgage because your child will not benefit from this school. The teachers don't communicate. My son informed me that the children in his class that did not have a dry erase marker (which I sent a pack on the 1st day that mysteriously disappeared) run laps in the gym while the other kids did work. My child basically disappeared from the school database, so I had to redo all his paperwork. The only excuse from the front office being that "it just happens". I am currently plotting my child's escape.

Couldn’t be happier with this school! Every teacher I’ve met is passionate about what they do, and many of them know my student by name. Excited to watch my child grow and learn here!

Sigler has been a great school for our kids to grow and learn. I've been amazed at how much my kids have learned and enjoy school. There hasn't been any negative events (no bullying) and the teachers have been excellent and caring. We love Sigler!

After our second year at Sigler, we couldn't be happier. Staff is friendly and open to new ideas, willing to help with any issues that may arise, and work long hours to provide family activities after school hours. With the new construction north of 15th Street, the coming years should bring more great families to Sigler. Our neighborhood, Pitman Creek North, has allowed us to meet some great Sigler families, many who are active in the PTA.Sigler has a diverse population, ethnically, economically, and otherwise. Some parents are misinformed about the Spanish language classes provided to students for whom English is a second language. My English speaking child has not been taught in Spanish.

Sigler is GREAT! My experience at Sigler has been wonderful. I have never had a principal who knew every single kid in the school and talked to his teachers on a daily basis. We are required to give our absolute best and feel free to do what we think is best for our children. I feel blessed to have a cohesive team that supports each other and shares new ideas to help meet every child's needs. I have never worked at such a successful elementary school as Sigler and I don't plan on leaving anytime soon. GOOOOO Sigler STARS! At every school you will always have those teachers that have been teaching for many years and are stuck in their old ways. Instead of learning new methods that will benefit our children, they will complain and refuse to try anything new. Research and data are our constant guides to build success in our teaching. Teachers who have time to be negative and focus on "bad moral" need to spend more time working towards their students' goals.

This school is awesome. My kids don't want to leave, and I sometimes consider relocating. The staff here assist you in every way possible.
