I am a student here at Wilson. I understand many of the parents reading this may consider it just another kid that hates going to school and wants to make it the school's issue, but I will be saying I would quite literally rather die than spend another three years of my life here. For starters, the safety and cleanliness in this school is disgustingly bad. The bathrooms and hallways have dead roaches on the floor and ive literal pee on the walls in the bathroom. As for safety, the staff here has that last on their list. They talk it up a lot, but it's all to keep the parents from getting angry or involved. The amount of fights, shooting threats, bomb threats, etc. we get in a month is genuinely insane. They do not do anything about these things except try to shove it under the rug and keep us from talking about it to each other or our family. The next and biggest issue is the help we receive in terms or mental health or issues at home. As someone who has been through these motions with the counselors at the school, there is zero privacy whatsoever. I understand if a child is hurting themself or going to kill themself that it would be necessary to alert the family, but if it is something that isn't immediate danger and they have specifically asked you to not disclose it to the parents (especially if the issue is child abuse or any family issue) they need to respect that, and they do not. The bigger issue with this is that they don't take it seriously no matter what it is. Several of my friends have been reported for hurting themselves, and they ask to see their arms and nothing else. It is disgustingly easy to lie, but they apparently don't understand that. All in all, do not send your child here, there are so many better options and they will be much better off there than anywhere near here. The safety and cleanliness and mental health issues in this school is so awful, you don't want to be throwing a kid fresh out of 5th grade into this absolute hellhole.

Absolutely love this school. Great diversity amongst the students and the teachers/administration. Have not had any problems the 3 years we have been at the school (1st was virtual thanks to Covid). I truly believe the principals, Mr. Letterer and Ms. Martin truly care about the students. I don't know the other principal. I absolutely love the counselor, Mr. Obert. Great teacher and coaches. Coach King keeps all the kids excited, sets high expectations and teaches real life scenarios. Ms. Goodspeed has earned and deserves her teacher of the year honor. PTA has been great with supprt. People's have negative things to say but we have enjoyed our experience.

Almost every day she coughs all the time and complains about how she can't talk and it is hard to talk, she says she is light-headed and she feels like she is about to pass out and it bothers me a lot.She also yells a lot and sometimes I absolutely have to go to the bathroom and she won't let me even if you say it's a girl problem like we can't help that!!!!! She also will like put you on the spot if you say you honestly don't know she will say it because you weren't listening but we were and she is always yelling at someone, and she even uses her whistle when it's not even loud.

Terrible school. Poor leadership and role modeling from the top down. A glaring lack of integrity from administration. Bullying and hate speech go unchecked if you're the right student. There are even Instagram and Snap Chat accounts containing violent encounters at this school.

The principal, who started in 2018, is passionate and effective. He knows student's names and really gets this age group. Overall the administration, counselors, teachers and even the custodial staff are all caring and dedicated at this school. They work hard to bring top notch academics to students and focus on growth. There's an active PTA and good parent involvement in socials, clubs and investing extra in the school. I have had two children go through and would recommend it.

Very difficult to communicate effectively with the administrators. Teachers were adequate but we ultimately transferred two children out over the course of nine years.

Wilson has very caring, supportive and encouraging teachers and coaches. We have nothing but great things to say about this school! The coaches are especially great about having academic and athletic balance and have encouraged my son tremendously. Mrs. Wilcox has been so welcoming and helpful- by far the best counselor that we have ever had! GO RAMS!

While this school had excellent teachers for elective classes (Spanish, Band, Art), I can't say the same for core classes. Many of my teachers were mean, rude, unprofessional, and inconsiderate. I am proud to say I graduated from PSHS with Honors distinction and in the top 16% of my class, but I am NOT proud to say I went to Wilson. If your student is introverted, or gets bullied whatsoever, this school is NOT for them, as counselor's are blind and unhelpful. Go to Haggard.

Wilson MS is an excellent school. My daughter was new from an out-of-state school this year and has adjusted quite well. The staff are all very friendly, kind and helpful. The only staff member that we had a little difficulty with was the band teacher, she seemed to be pretty tough on my daughter, but now later in the school year she has eased up on her and they have a mutual respect for one another. I highly reccommend Wilson.

OK I was a new student last year and I'm finally going to the 7th grade my sixth grade year was OK some teachers were good some were bad. My social studies teacher was the one I don't like shed give demerits for no reason. And for the students some were very rude to me calling me names I just wish I'd hit those kids. I'm not going to name those kids but if any new 6th graders going to read this don't tell anyone something u don't want anybody to know I'd like this one girl and when I told my best friend everybody knew including the girl I just wish people would be nice and don't tell anybody

This school it horrible when it comes to special needs kids! The worst teacher would be Angela Rexford, LA sped teacher, the principals conducts are way off base! They protect the wrong doing of teachers, and go out there way to sabotage a child's life literally! they are more reactive than proactive!

Wilson is a great school. Great teachers, and the best athletics coaches in the district.

This is my last year of Wilson, so i know what I'm saying. I disagree with what most of the parents are saying. Yeah, there's bullying, but come on people-THIS IS LIFE! No matter where you go or how old you are there will always be bullying. You can't protect your children forever. All of my teachers are super nice and care about their students-unless they are as rude as... you can probably finish the sentence. And just because of that sentence don't you dare down grade me. And yeah, we get searched on the last day of school, but it's more for shaving cream and spray paint that 8th graders bring because it's the last day. It is a bit smaller than average, it is a bit dated-I guess, but it doesn't help when you look at the down side, and not look at the bright side-as my fellow student(8/6/13) stated. Wilson has great programs and staff, and -no offense- but it seems like a lot of you are publicizing online school instead of focusing on the topic-WILSON. All of my family went here, and that includes my disabled cousin, so get your facts straight. They're treated as equals. As for racism, we have a lot of diversity for a small school and we're pretty cool with it.Wilson isn't trash.

I'm a student here and I have to say all o the other Parents are wrong about wilson wilson is a great school so there is some bad kids there are kids. Like that in every school I'm goin into the 7th grade now and I'm perfectly fine there is one kid that has cancer and everyone treats him like a normal kid and this is a perfect school for kids that play instruments so parents out there stop looking on the down side and look on the bright side for once

If you have disabilities this is the worst school ever. I have disabled children and am disabled myself and have been treated horribly by the administration and teachers.

The school has mostly good teachers, in social studies i feel that it is being paced way to fast. The only over all problem are the students them selves. It seems that people get away with anything, and are given a "light punishment" either they need to have worse punishments or get rid of the students who don't want to learn and just want to get in trouble. I would say public schools are horrible, do online or some other, you will be happy that you made the decision later on.
