Terrible school! Terrible student behavior, parents and staff! No support WHATSOEVER for teachers and subs! Teachers and subs get blamed for students bad behavior and twist of words as well as get treated badly and abused by the students and not to mention gaslighted and manipulated by hypocritical and narcissistic students. Parents get mad when students are held accountable for said bad behavior or called out for it. Admin doesn’t support teachers but rather blame them first before disciplining the bad behaving students!!! Don’t take your kids here! I don’t care what hate I get at least I’m anonymous! And yes I’ve worked here before, not going to mention the title, and again students MISTREAT each other and other staff members. Parents do your job! Students if you carry this inmate behavior into the real world there will be three places you will land yourself in due to the choices you poorly make and it will be prison, the streets, and/or the grave! I’m stating facts! Do right for once EMMS!!!!

Both of my children attended Markham Middle School from 6th grade through 8th grade. They both had overall good experiences while there. They actually still occasionally visit some of the staff members there, as they miss seeing them and had built great relationships while attending. Shout-out to the librarian, Ms. Becky...she's one of kind and such a great educator & mentor to the children.

My child is a sixth grader. Good teachers in core subjects, but not terribly challenging. If your child is strong on fundamentals, they’ll thrive. Could it be more challenging and rigorous? Of course. But education isn’t just what goes on during campus time.

At Edwin Markham middle school the students are very disrespectful a lot of the kids don't listen to the teachers and don't do there homework also the teachers can be very rude towards the kids if you have the choice i highly recommend picking a different school

Grading takes forever the students are crazy. The teachers are fine. kids get covid often the pe is good but over all i would say that this school is bad. Kids get in fights, people often get suspended or do illigle substances in the bathrooms. There is gum everywhere.

I have been involve with the school through an emailing PC Pal mentoring program for several years. The students and teacher interaction are excellent. The school is more organized and ensures that students write their emails and more involved than I see at other schools I have been involved with.

This is a great overall junior high school, close to the feeder high school which is always nice. Great teachers and good overall programs.
