My daughter is having an amazing experience at Sierra. Her teachers last year were above and beyond with communication and overall involvement. I couldn't have asked for a better school year. The staff at Sierra are diligent and caring. The parent club puts on fun events and helps raise money for field trips. I would recommend this school to parents looking for an elementary school in the Placerville area.

Both of my children attended Sierra School from Kindergarten through 5th grade. The school offers a great community of staff, children, and parents. The teachers go above and beyond and really care about each of their students. The parent club is incredible! The amount of fundraisers and fun events that they hold for the school is impressive. And, my children made some amazing lifetime friends while there. Overall, we had a great experience!

Sierra School is an amazing place for students. Teachers are caring, experienced and do a wonderful job caring for the kids. There are many fun activities that involve families and the community throughout the year. Students have the opportunity to take field trips at each grade level that enhance the learning in the classroom.

My son is in second grade at Sierra School. The teachers, administration, and parent association work hard to form an excellent community. And we succeed at that. The location in the heart of downtown Placerville is excellent. An absolutely wonderful place to live and learn. My son is excited to go to school every day. There are a number of enrichment activities for students of all levels, from the arts and sports to STEM-based enrichment and it seems like there are more opportunities every year. A great school, highly recommended.

My son has started kindergarten here. I'm impressed by the school-wide commitment to excellence and the community-minded spirit that is ubiquitous. The principal is active and engaged. The parent association is enthusiastic and brings excellent value to this gem of a school. I'm very satisfied and my son is excited to go to school and learn new things every day!

My daughter went to Sierra while it was still Sierra Accelerated and when it changed over to Sierra Elementary. Any time I had any issues or had any questions about the school, the staff, teachers and principal were always available to help. My daughter excelled at this school and being of a darker complexion I was always afraid that she would be picked on but instead we were welcomed into the community with open arms. Because of the foundations this school has instilled into my daughter she has excelled all the way through high school maintaining a 3.0 or higher GPA while taking advanced courses. Rosalind G.

I have two children that have attended Sierra since kindergarten. The office staff, teachers and principal are all amazing! They are all caring, dedicated individuals whose priority is to see that all of their children feel safe, confident and have the tools that they need to become successful adults!
