I have worked at MSJH for the last three years. I love the passion that the teachers have for their subjects. I also appreciate that the school is focused on school wide expectations. Middle School is a tough time for students, and so having a team approach for success is great.

This is an amazing school to work for and I have worked for many as a substitute health technician. I love the community this school has and am very excited to be here at this school!

As a teacher for over a decade, Mountain Sky is a junior high that strives for excellence. They believe in every one of their students and push them to be their absolute best. Knowing teenagers and how their brains work, the teachers and staff value the students' input and give them the ability to persevere and make the best decisions they can. Mountain Sky is a great school that many teachers have stayed at for 10-20 years because they know how special this school is. Sending your child to Mountain Sky means they will have a safe and respectful place to be and a place that will help them be organized and hold them accountable when looking toward their future!

All three of my sons attended this school and had great experiences. No school is perfect, and there were some hiccups, but they were minor and handled quickly and efficiently.

The school has school-wide expectations that are implemented in all school environments. Teachers receive thorough trainings on these expectations and align their classroom expectations with them. Many teachers at Mountain Sky are there for the students and will strive to meet the needs of any learner. The principal is amazing and the staff are very grateful to have such a wonderful leader on campus. The school has very strong and knowledgeable teachers as well. The community is supportive of Mountain Sky and actively engages with the school. There are several opportunities for sports, clubs, and elective classes for students that can engage them in the school community as well and motivate them to do well in school.

All 4 of my children went through Mountain Sky. Between the four of them, they were in accelerated programs, sports, band, theater, and student government. Mountain Sky is a fabulous community feel school. My students had many opportunities for learning and positive socialization. They made relationships with both students and teachers that they maintain today.

My oldest graduated Mountain Sky last year and had a fantastic experience there. My youngest is there now and has gotten off to a great start. Mountain Sky has accelerated tracks for ELA, math and science, a fantastic music program, great athletics, and caring teachers. I could not have hoped for more for my kids. I highly recommend Mountain Sky Junior High!

I have an 8th grader and 7th grader in Mountain Sky and my 7th grader loves her first year. Teachers are so much friendlier and more helpful than at her previous school. My 8th graders second year here and he loves it. The teachers try hard to keep all student on track and get help where and when needed.

We have been thrilled with Mountain Sky Middle School. Junior high is a tough age, full of changes. The school administrators and teachers really understand the challenges kids are dealing with at this age and work to maintain a supportive environment where the kids can learn and grow.

We love Mountain Sky Junior High. It is only a two year school so the time passes quickly but the school has a big, positive impact.

When my daughter's school; in an "A" district, at an "A" school, and with friends she had attended with from age 3-13; dropped their choir/band classes, she asked to attend Mountain Sky (noted for their amazing music/performance arts' programs). I was downright adamant against her request at first, but she eventually wore me down with thoughtful and salient points. I wound up relenting with a very exuberant "I told you so" at the ready for when she begged me to return to her old school--something I was sure would happen within the first couple weeks of attending. However, instead of proving to my daughter that Mommy always knows best, I ended up telling her that SHE was right...something I HATE doing. She just promoted from Mountain Sky yesterday and very authentically professed that it was the best year of her life. WHO says that about 8th grade...EVER?!? I am forever indebted to the staff, teachers, administrators, and student/parent community for helping develop my daughter into the confident, competent, and happy 14-year-old she is today. I highly recommend this school--this family--to anyone considering their own or their loved one's attendance.

This school has ruined my family's life, if you have special needs students, stay FAR away from Mountain Sky.

The fine arts program is outstanding. Administration has been very responsive to my two sons - and both are very different with very different needs. The school is exceptionally diverse and they do a very good job of getting all the students from all the different groups mixing together. But, what really makes the school special is the fine arts program and the teachers. I can't say enough about how exceptional that program truly is. The quality of the choir program is comparable to private schools and the enthusiasm of the teachers in every class, with very few exceptions, is remarkable. In fact, very few teachers leave this school and that is a hallmark of a good school. We had the opportunity to move to a much larger home (for much less money!) in a different district and we decided to stay here because of Mountain Sky and Thunderbird.

Mountain sky is a crazy school, in a good way. The staff and teachers are all so nice and really care about your education. I am happy to call Mountain sky my second home.

My child is new to Mountain Sky and the Washington District. I have to say, never have I heard of principal like this one. My child is neither an over achiever or gets into trouble. It amazes me that the principal has taken to get to know her. He finds things to discuss with students and makes them feel very important. This goes a long way with some kids. The teachers have been for the most part very dedicated as well. They respond immediately when we have concerns. We are very happy to have child at this school. Thank you for the warm welcome.

Honors classes need to be interesting and relevant to keep gifted kids excited about learning. The school is slipping a bit here and needs to focus on the problem if they want to attract bright kids! Curriculum should be shared between local elem., middle and high schools. You'd think it would be but honors kids read exact same literaturev in mid and high school classes. Why no coordination?

I dont recommend this school.. All concerns were voiced to the administration with no help. Eventually my son was put in a Behavioral Health Center due to his way of responding to being kicked, punched, and verbally abused by other students. The only person that stood up for my son and what he needed was his special Ed Math Teacher. She did what she could unfortunately she was not in charge of the whole school.
