Unfortunately, this school and district are not Safe for students. My child was bullied by a student, and physically assaulted on multiple occasions. The student prevented the class from learning and many other were assaulted and bullied. The students and teachers needed help and the school and district did nothing. Your child will not be safe at this school.

Both my boys like it at this school. The Principals Antoine and Ortiz are very good. My youngest was lucky to have Ms.Law as his first grade teacher. She is a great teacher in every way. She is organized, effective and goes above and beyond what we expected. Both our Boys want to stay at this school and that says a lot about the staff.

Very good school. My daughter has attended for 4 years going on 5th year and I have been very pleased with teachers and principal. They do such a good job with everyone, makes me happy and proud to be a parent of a child who attends Pflugerville Elementary.

Our kids are doing great at PES, Excellent teachers, Excellent,Special Ed team, Ms. Antoine and Mr. Ortiz bring great balance to the school. The after schools clubs are awesome. I wish that more parents were interested in getting involved with the PTO.

This is a great school because of its dedicated staffs. The Assistant Principal Nathan Steenport always cares and loves students with all his heart. The AR program is an amazing way to help students improve their reading comprehension skills. Mrs. Knight is an amazing teacher who has strong teaching experience skills. My son is so lucky to be one of the students in her class and in this school. We love this school! We are strongly recommended this is a great school for good students who are willing to learn and work hard.

This is our daughter's first year at PES. I have been very impressed overall. The only reason that I did not give the school 5 stars is their lack of resources for gifted & talented curriculum. The librarian is the teacher for that program and it only meets a short time each week. Although there are chances for other advanced curriculum outside of that program in math and reading. The school is very diverse which we really value and see the benefits already of our child being exposed to a wide range of economic and ethnic backgrounds. There are numerous avenues for parental involvement and the homework level seems okay thus far. My daugher takes pride in her school which I think is likely the best testament there can be. They don't seem to just "teach to the test" which can't be said for many other schools in the area. I would highly recommend PES to anyone looking to move to this general area. Bohl's Place is also a great, lesser known, quiet little neighborhood that feeds into PES that we adore.

Overall this is a great school, but I feel like it is a little too strict. My child has been enrolled for two years now and has had two great teachers and has learned a ton. The art and p.e. teacher seem great as well. I've seen the music teacher yelling at kids several times, so not a big fan of her. I do wish they would let the kids relax a bit and socialize more. I've eaten lunch up there a couple of times and see the lunch staff barking at the children to keep it down. Seriously, its lunch, let them socialize! The halls are very quiet too, teachers really keep these kids in line. Still, I suppose its better than having a school that is full of kids being bullies to other children or otherwise making the school a hostile place. I've found the homework to be reasonable, hopefully that persists into the upper grades. There is limited parent involvement at this school, which I think is due to it being an area where typically both parents work.
