My kid has been at BH since kinder. He's going into 3rd grade. Teachers have been great. No bad apples. It's been good.

We've had 4 kids pass through Brookhollow. It's a great school with many caring and passionate teachers. It's a smaller school. This lends itself to your kids getting a more personal experience. Teachers have time to focus on all of them individually. We really enjoyed our years at Brookhollow.

Brookhollow is exactly what you want in an elementary school. The staff really cares about your kids and is invested in their successes. The school sends out weekly updates and teachers respond quickly anytime you reach out. Parents are both welcome and appreciated on campus. There are plenty of volunteer opportunities, lots of field trips and loads of student clubs. Brookhollow is the gem of PFISD.

This is an excellent school! The staff and admin are the best we could ask for. Our kids like coming here. They tell us that their teachers are fun. They're learning a lot, they're enjoying learning and they're happy.

BH is a wonderful little neighborhood school. There are so many fantastic teachers here. They push the kids to rise to a higher level. Due to small class sizes, the kids get plenty of attention. There is even individualized lessons for kids that are behind or ahead of the class. Coming from California, this school has been a breath of fresh air. We've been very impressed.

Aside from this school, our kids have attended 3 different elementary schools over the years. Brookhollow is the best of all of them. The teachers are just incredible. They aren't just there to collect a paycheck. They are truly invested in their students success. This is an older school, but it is well maintained and the size of it is fantastic for the number of students. No over filled classrooms here. There are lots of events and opportunities to engage as parents. We have met so many great families here. My daughter's teacher makes learning fun. As an example, she held a wedding for Q and U to help the kids remember that they always go together. She decorated and even provided donuts and sparkling apple juice for the "guests". She also had a pretend hotdog stand where the kids ordered food with their pretend money. They had to sort out what 3 things they could afford, make change, etc. This is the kind of passion that makes for memorable lessons.

This school is truly amazing the inclusivity and kindness of the students are immensely wonderful. The principal Harris is very hardworking and cares and loves her students dearly. She takes care of her students like her own and only wants the best for them.

All 4 of our children have attended Brookhollow. My youngest is currently enrolled in the 5th grade. It's a good school. The teachers are fantastic. With the exception of a few, most of tge teachers are great. None have been awful, but there are a few that I would say were just mediocre. The class ratios are small at roughly 17 kids in a class and this provides more individualized attention. The school itself is smaller by area standards and we see this as a major positive. Everyone knows your children. It's a much more close knit feel. Overall, we've been happy with the school.

We really like Brookhollow. There are lots of experienced teachers and the entire staff is super friendly. From what we've seen, the faculty has always been very invested in the children. Not just their education, but also their overall well being. We have yet to have a "bad" teacher and we've had children attending BH for 4 years now. Our kids are doing well and they're very happy here.

We feel lucky that our kids are attending Brookhollow. It really is a fantastic neighborhood school. The teachers truly care about their students. The school isn't that big, so it really feels tight knit and the kids don't get "lost in the shuffle". The students are placed in leveled small groups for both reading and math. This ensures that all children are given work suited to their personal skill levels. The teachers move the kids up or down, as their needs change. The kids don't realize that these are leveled groups, as the call the groups names that don't indicate the level (ie. Purple group, red group). There are many experienced teachers and they really put their all into the kids. There are always fun family events going on at the school and they have a great anti-bullying program. I'm sad to see the BH rating here is no longer above average overall. It's interesting to note that the test scores for white students performance are above average (7 of 10). Additionally, non-low income students test scores are a 6 out of 10 (also above average). As the parent of white/non low income students, we fully believe that the diversity of Brookhollow is an asset. It's an incredibly diverse school. Our world is also incredibly diverse and moreso every day. The experience for our kids to work with and interact with kids from all backgrounds is such a gift. This diversity though, brings a wide range of students. We have low income, affluent and everything in between. The scores reflect this, as lower income students in general tend to not perform as well as higher income students. This is more due to socio economic status than teaching. Additionally, the scores are even more all over the place due to covid changing the way the kids were taught last year.

We love Brookhollow! The class sizes are small, the staff is fantastic, the kids have real classrooms (no portables, no overcrowding) and the principal is extremely accessible and accommodating. The car line is an easy in and out too. This may not sound important, but coming from a larger school, this matters a lot. It used to take me almost an hour to pick up my kids at their old school. We love how they challenge the kids. They meet them where they are. I think there's 5 different levels of math and reading and they have a great GT program too. We came from a highly rated school (9), but we like Brookhollow so much more! The teachers and the academics are both better at Brookhollow! There is a diverse population and the teachers work hard to keep kids at all levels learning. In my children's old school, this was not as much of a priority. Lots of student events and clubs are offered as well. Covid has been rough on our little school. We had lots of virtual learning and the STAAR scores dropped tremendously. Kids just don't do as well when they're not learning in person and most of ours were virtual. They're back on campus now, so it was just a temporary issue.

Great for her teacher and aids last year, horrible with admin.

Wonderful school in Pflugerville. Smaller than most so it has a close-knit feel. Admin and teachers are super attentive and the anti-bullying program is tops at BES. Exceptional PTO, that provides countless functions and fundraisers through the year to build community. I wouldn’t want my kids to attend anywhere else!

Overall. The staff has met our needs without any problems. They appear to be in a rebuilding year with new admin. Staff seem approachable by parents.

My daughter attended a school from pre-k through 1st grade that was a great school! The principal was a great leader who had great staff. We moved and she began to attend Brookhollow and immediately my daughter's spirit deflated due to the poor leadership and enthusiasm of the staff. The school is so poor they can't even afford a field trip!!! The traffic zoning in the morning is horrible! I've witnessed children almost get run over by distracted parents dropping their children off. The bathrooms are dirty! I'm surprised at how the principal could be so oblivious to these type of issues.

My son is in Kindergarten at Brookhollow and we love this school. The teachers are all engaging, the staff is fantastic and we have met a lot of great parents at school functions and PTO meetings. I'm not sure how greatschools arrived at their score, but this is a good school, with caring teachers and staff.

Just a couple of years ago Brookhollow had a higher Great Schools rating. It was the reason I bought my home! Now, with test scores falling and another child about to enter this school I'm seriously concerned. I'd love to know what in the world happened to make their accountability rating fall so far and what is being done to correct the problem. This score is shameful and I'm embarrassed for my child to be a part of the school because of it. Fix it, Brookhollow!
