This is an amazing school. The teaches and parent community are very involved in student success. The Principle goes above and beyond to engage the students, and provide them a truly private school level education. For the noise which people make about Norwalk schools, I doubt any of the adjoining more affluent towns have a program this good.Students are provided an opportunity to select one of three language to take on over their 4 year study program. Student are provided the opportunity to participate in study abroad trips, in the corresponding country of their language selection.Graduation rates far exceed national or local averages.I am very happy our child has an opportunity to join this program, and learn through the prism of a global world.

CGS is an interdistrict public magnet located within Brien McMahon High School offering Chinese, Arabic and Japanese language classes in a Global Studies, International Baccalaureate framework. Students have many opportunities for cross-cultural experiences including study abroad. The curriculum encourages open-minded, critical thinking and creates a high achieving, supportive community. My senior (Arabic) traveled to Morocco and Qatar in 11th grade and my sophomore (Chinese) is headed to China this spring. Both feel a strong sense of belonging at CGS and have encouraged their younger sister to apply for the Japanese program next fall. CGS draws a diverse group of motivated students and challenges them to expand their horizons and become amazing young adults.
