Wonderful neighborhood school with an extremely responsive, caring principal and staff, both my kids are doing great at Fox Run. The PTO is very active and plans a lot of fun activities for keeping families engaged with the school community. The kids have opportunities to play in the orchestra, band, be in the school musical, and participate in a variety of afterschool activities. Before/after care with the Carver organization is caring and enriching.

Amazing neighborhood school, where the kids academics and creativity get room to grow. It has a state of the art new library/media room with a full-time member of staff that introduces and challenges the children with projects on STEAM. As a parent of a child who needs special social and emotional support the school went over and above making sure that the child had the support and an effective framework to flourish within.

If you don't have a special Ed student and you happen to get one of the few good teachers, the school is fine. If you get one of the many bad teachers, good luck! Lots of yelling , cell phones, not servicing the kids, etc.

We were there for 3 years. REally great Kindergarten experience. AMAZING 1st grade teacher... maybe that is why the difference with the 2nd grade teacher was so hard to accept. We ended moving. 2nd grade teacher made my kid not want to go to school anymore. Grounded recess with out telling parents, missed most days of school, jumped units just because "she was behind". Horrible 2nd grade experience. They have amazing teachers but as always pretty awful ones find their way. I also had not such a good experiences with some of their specialist.. The Speech pathologists were a AMAZING but they changed them EVERY YEAR!. overall.. I think I give them average just because the k and 1st grade teacher were incredible. But that awful 2nd grade teacher made us MOVE.

A real gem which stands out In the sameness of other surrounding Fairfield County schools. This school has a diverse population (many from overseas) which skews standardized test scores--don't be fooled by the higher achieving schools close by. Why? Fox Run has a lot of funding which is put to use in an incredible reading achievement program. It also has smaller class sizes (compared to neighboring school districts) with teachers assistants in every classroom which allows for more one on one teacher to student interaction. The teachers care and the PTA is very involved.

As an alumnus of Fox Run Elementary and a longtime neighborhood resident, it s great to see this beautiful school and property continuing to provide the same great experience to my current neighbors and their children as I remember fondly from many years ago. Some of my best friends are classmates from Kindergarten through 5th Grade at Fox Run. Looking forward to the next annual Fox Run ice Cream social!

The school can be wonderful but teachers and administration don't have a vested interest. I have been to many PTO events and have never seen the Principal. My son's teachers have been wonderful.

Great school for K-2nd, but the 3rd - 5th is terrible. The kids just aren't learning -everything is about the CMT's, but that's just b/c the system is broken. They have very few good teachers for 3rd-5th and it seems like that it when most people pull their kids out of FR, myself included. They have a very abusive teacher that everyone tries to avoid getting b/c her reputation proceeds her. I had heard about her from so many people before my child even had her. She has been and continues to crush young children's self esteem. So sad. Way to go, Fox Run.

I am extremely happy with Fox Run Elementary School. My 1st grader loves it, and we have been very happy with his teachers. The principal is very involved and takes the time to know all of the students. My 2nd son will be in kindergarten next year, and he can't wait!

Wonderful school! My children love it, have been happy with all their teachers, and are learning and growing as people. The Principal is excellent, very responsive to parents and teachers.
