As we enter our 11th year, we at Tobin continue with our commitment to providing a rich, robust curriculum within our small, welcoming, learning community! I'd love to tell you more about our programs and offerings! Feel free to be in touch so we can arrange a visit.

Tobin has small classes, a home-like atmosphere (the children eat in a big, sunny kitchen instead of a smelly, loud cafeteria), and a huge focus on emotional intelligence in the curriculum. Lots of enrichment, such as animal science (the school has a python, rabbits, mice, birds, fish, gerbils, lizards, hermit crabs, etc.), Mandarin, art, yoga, trips to the local library, etc. The kindergarten teacher is especially talented.

The Tobin School is fantastic. The low student teacher ratios make for such a wonderful learning environment. The teachers are all superb and really get to know each child so well The emphasis on social-emotional learning is such a gift for all the students. It s a wonderful community to be involved in. The teachers and administrators are always very attentive to parents and their input. The many specials such as music, art, Spanish, Mandarin, PE, Animal Science, and Technology are great. I could not be more thankful that we found The Tobin School for my daughter. She is thriving there.

What a wonderful school! We are so glad we found it, because our son is thriving in second grade there! From the first, he felt welcomed and embraced, and he is consistently challenged and excited by the strong academics and the innovative specials. The emphasis on social-emotional learning at Tobin is perfect for our child, and it means that the environment is one of inclusiveness and welcome. The teachers at Tobin are highly skilled and knowledgeable, and they are able to differentiate to the levels and needs of the individual children, to provide just the right level of challenge and support for our son to feel good about his learning while still constantly being challenged in all areas. Overall, we could not be happier with the school, the teachers, or the curriculum. On a recent morning, our son could not decide what he was most excited for that day: Mandarin, animal science, yoga, the plant experiments his class was doing, or his spelling quiz! But best of all, after only a few weeks at Tobin, he begged me to let him know whether he could stay there next year and the year after too. He LOVES his learning at the Tobin School, and we do too!

This is simply an amazing school. My son's class has 10 kids and two teachers. The amount of attention is incredible. The staff really cares about the kids. They are pushed and challenged in a fun environment . They learn about animals from their animal science room that actually has animals and an animal teacher. The school is really nice and bright. It's a small school so the school itself is like a massive house. They have a turf field, 2 playground structures, basketball court etc. The very unique thing that Tobin does is they have virtually no fundraisers. They believe in philanthropic events such as a readathon to raise money for the Heifer foundation.....I can't stay enough if you are looking for a small private school

The Tobin School was our choice for school based on two factors: location and hours available. I'd rate the school as average. More experienced teachers are neeed in my opinion.

I have two children attending the Tobin School. I do not think I could be happier with a school. The entire staff, including the founder, the director, the teachers, and the afterschool team are always friendly and seem dedicated and happy to be doing their jobs. The small classes enable my children to get the attention I think all young students need to reach their full academic potential. I love that my children are being introduced to Spanish, Mandarin, and Yoga in addition to the standard and rigorous grade-school curriculum. I am particularly impressed with the schools attention to the social and emotional development of each child. I do not agree with the review about the school not being a good place for a typically developing child. Mine are typical and most of the wonderful students seem typical to me.

I would highly recommend the Tobin School for anyone looking for a warm, caring, supportive, personalized educational experience for their elementary aged children. Its small class sizes allow for an education that is completely tailored to your child's needs. Their model can easily accommodate both areas of strength and weakeness in a seamless way. The curriculum is well rounded and top notch academically, but has also not forgotten about the emotional and social development of our kids. In an environment where many public schools are cutting back, the Tobin School offers music, art, spanish, mandarin, PE (2x/week), yoga and animal science in addition to a robust academic experience. Unlike any other school we've worked with, the staff at the Tobin are extremely accessible are willing to take the time to get to know you and your children to ensure a successfull experience for everyone. Would highly recommend for all kids!

The Tobin School is an amazing place where kids can learn and flourish. The teachers are passionate and supportive. Academic program is very robust and appropriate. The small class sizes are a huge benefit for learning and classroom experience. The programs can be individualized to help your child reach their full potential. For example, a kid reading at a higher level can join a reading group of higher grades, etc. Their curriculum is very well rounded. Kindergarten, my son is attending this year, includes Language Arts, Math, History & Geography, Science, Spanish, Mandarin, Social Thinking, Art, PE, Yoga, Music and Animal Science. The quality education, attention and support your child will get here is unmatched anywhere! We are very happy we found Tobin School!
