As long term resident of Natick, I fully supported my daughter and my son in our public school system which they attended from K-12. Our schools have only improved over time, as one can learn by reviewing the ranking lists of Boston area High Schools. Both of my children excelled in the Natick Schools and were prepared to be accepted, and thrive in Ivy League colleges. They established strong friendships, joined the Speech Team, French Club and Tennis Teams. Now after graduation, they have wonderful connections to the Town and many friends that they stay in touch with from their High School days. There was something for all students at the school, and I found that the administration would allow and accept credit for advanced outside courses. Overall, the public schools in the Boston area are the best in the country. I feel that Natick High School is no acception. The parents, students and school system all have a hand in the students' education.

Overall, it is not an awful school but a lot of work needs to be put in for it to get better.

Although she complained while in school, NHS prepared my oldest very well for college, where she had great success. Once she had the chance to meet and work with kids from other communities, she realized that NHS gave her many advantages and skills that other students didn’t get from their schools. NHS graduates have excellent tech skills, a broad range of knowledge, a good understanding of social issues and a respect for themselves and others.

Two of my children have attended Natick High and both have fallen apart academically and socially. One has multiple disabilities (which were not recognized nor fully addressed until Junior year) and the other is a bright and driven student. The bright child struggles in the classroom due to the disruptions and rudeness from the other students. The classroom management is weak, creating a very ineffective learning environment. Are they afraid of kids? I am very disappointed. Natick High School was an excellent school when I was growing up. Talented and caring staff. There was no nonsense in the classrooms because it wasn't allowed.

The schools in Natick spend too much time on social justice issues and they are politically biased. Year after year they cover many of the same topics over and over... slavery, the civil rights movement and the holocaust among other things. It starts in elementary school and continues through high school. They incorporate it into English, History, Social Studies... even Geography. They focus too heavily on the misdeeds of White people. I think it is wrong because they present a distorted view of history to students. Too often it ignores context and focuses too heavily on the failures of White people... while spending comparatively much less time examining the misdeeds of other ethnic groups... if they cover them at all. The end result seems to feel like Whites are being vilified and shamed... and often it all seems more like an indoctrination that an education. Furthermore, it takes too much time away from learning about other things that are also important.

I have had 4 children go through Natick High School; the school has gotten steadily worse during their tenure there. If a student is self-motivated and high-achieving or has special needs he/she will will get the attention and services he/she deserves. The opposite is true for the rest (read vast majority) of students. Teachers go from mediocre to abysmal, and administration is smothering. The addition of school-issued laptops has made the situation much worse- students now have toys to play with in class, and the kids run rings around a comically inept tech dept. I can't wait till my youngest is out of there!

Natick High School is one of the top schools in the state year after year! Students are surrounded by success at all levels. The town resources coupled with the great teachers foster an environment that will prepare your kids for any Ivy League they choose.

Ever since the laptops and new school it has not been a productive learning environment. People get distracted all the time during class and I can personally say tht my grades have dropped because of the laptops. Also getting the classes you actually want is impossible and most of the teachers are mean to the students. There are some really good teachers but not a lot. Despite what you hear your child will have an awful experience here.

I love it because I met some great teachers there and they all affected my life differently.
