While I agree with other reviewers that the administration could be a bit better the teachers and support staff are top notch!

Typical Frederick County school - average on a good day. The current principal leaves little to be desired and has a poor reputation around town.

My kids were discriminated against and psychologically abused here by the upper administration. My cries for help have gone unheard from the FCPS main office. I have tried reporting it, but no one believes me. No lawyer wants to touch it because there are circumstances with tenure there. Our family is traumatized from our experience there. FYI: my children have disabilities and I was told by both administrators that my children are just trying to get attention.

I gave this school two stars because the teachers and staff are great--truly wonderful, talented, dedicated people; however, the administration is terrible. The Vice Prinicipal suggested that my daughter was faking her chronic illness. Really not helpful when we were going through such a difficult time. We are glad to be out of TRES.

We have been extremely happy with Twin Ridge. Currently have three kiddos there, next year will be four. The teachers have been great with them

I gave this school 1 star because it taught nothing. My children have been removed from this school because of lack of knowledge. The teachers don't know how to treat little kids and can be too strict. My friends son is at a private school now because Twin Ridge wouldn't give him the help he needed, he is at a much lower knowledge level now because of this school. I knew kids that went to this school as kids, they changed the panda pledge and those former students are very upset, all I hear now is nagging. The school food is equally terrible, kids have gotten food poising every year, yet those food items are still there. I would never recommend this school to anyone starting out in the Maryland district.

Years ago I was a student at this school and more recently a teacher. I have always loved TRES from being a student to an intern to a teacher. The level of school spirit is high and the staff are wonderful. TRES does an excellent job keeping up with staff to ensure they are the best around!

The school itself is not suited to handle creativity or intelligence that is beyond their standard.when a student knows more in a study, the student would not be prohibited from using said information, the same can be said if the student knows a more advance way of doing things.Even when the school trys to educate the student, it fails amazingly, with the majority of students forgeting whatever they may have learned.Personly in my opinion this school was herendous in how it preformed and it needs serious work.

The teachers and principal are accessible and nice. Community supports the school. I have been very happy with the school.

I just read the reviews and agree with much of what was said, especially about the previous principal. This year, Twin Ridge has a new principal who is very accessible, considerate, listens to parental concerns, and takes time to address concerns and follow up with parents with updates. I was concerned with the ever growing number of children in my son's Kindergarten class last fall. She listened to my concerns and let me know that she was working to get help in each of the classrooms. Several weeks later, I received a call from the principle informing me that a full time paraeducator allocation was approved to help with the Kindergarten classes. She also stated she was going to hire 2 paraeducators so that each class could have 2 hours of support during the morning when teachers stated they needed more support and that she would consider to monitor the ratios. The atmosphere is much more child friendly and the staff members appear happier. There are also more fun and engaging afternoon and evening activities for the kids and families and the principal is taking an active roll (participating in the staff basketball game, dressing in themes for school spirit days, etc.).
