    Great school with a staff that cares about the education and success of every student. Mount Airy Elementary School (MAES) has done a remarkable job educating our children despite the challenges presented by the COVID pandemic. Mount Airy is unique in that the older Elementary School children (4th-5th grades) attend a separate school (MAES) from the younger students (Parr's Ridge). This healthy separation aids the development of both age groups and allows both schools to tailor activities appropriately. The academic and personal growth of children attending MAES is truly amazing.

    Awful. I was a teacher here and the staff is not interested in helping students think for themselves. They treat students like army recruits, and expect them to sit still and be quiet. I do not recommend this school. The leadership is poor, as the administrators are never seen around the building. They sit in cluttered offices all day.

    My daughters transferred here last year and WOW what a wonderful difference! Increased self esteem, much more options academically for advanced students as well as special needs. Such a relief to know my children are receiving the best education possible!
