Personally, I’ve loved this school so much. My teachers taught in a way where learning is fun. And lots of the students are nice, yes, there are rumors as us students are 11-14, and it’s normal. Besides that I’ve enjoyed going there and the quality of the school is insanely good and modern! :)

I do NOT recommend for your child to go to this school for many reasons. one of those reasons being the teachers spreading gossip with students about other students. my daughter attends this school and constantly comes home crying to me about how much she dislikes this school. Another thing is that there is a ton of bullying and the teachers do nothing about it or handle it all wrong. the teachers mainly side with the bullys. there is also a lot of drug distribution throughout the building that has not been addressed or taken care of by school officials. i truly believe that this school does not deserve the high rating it has. my daughter always tells me how the teachers don’t explain well what is happening in class and dosent get help but instead gets yelled at. The teachers here always slut shame my daughter for wearing sweatpants and sweatshirts saying how it is inappropriate because her chest pokes out, which is something she cannot help.that is no way to treat an innocent students. the behavior of this school is outrageous and disgusting.

We sent both of our children through MAMS. Our older child, mostly had a positive experience. This was mostly due to the staff and the principal at the time. Our youngest child has not had as positive of an experience under the current principal and administration. There have been staff members placed on leave to be investigated for possible wrong doing, and very little to no information was shared with the parents. A long term sub was used in one of my classes, who knew less about the subject matter than my son. Students are permitted to leave their classrooms for extended periods of time. This has resulted in significant damage to school property (during the Tick Tock Challenge), attacks on students in the bathroom, and other inappropriate behaviors. My child has witnessed and been the target of a several racist and antisemitic slurs and threats from his peers. This was brought to the attention of the administration and not addressed. The principal was able to verify one of the antisemitic threats and down played the severity, just like the vice principal down played the severity of the brutal attack on our son in a MAMS bathroom. The students who attacked my son were out of their classes "for awhile", as described by the principal. We were initially notified by the vice principal that our son was involved in a situation in a bathroom where he was hit but he was fine. When asked what role our son played in the incident, the vice principal said our son did nothing wrong, he only defended himself. She also used the words "you were jumped", describing the event to my son. Students in other classrooms cWhile these major issues were frequently handled poorly, the vice principal will hand out "minor" referrals for perceived issues such as wearing a hoodie in school with no hesitation. If you send your child to MAMS, I would ask the Carroll County Board of Education to conduct an investigation into the procedures and the amount ofttimes students are spending out of the classrooms unsupervised.I would think twice before enrolling your child in this school. If you are a family that values inclusivity, tolerance, and equity, I would think twice before enrolling your child at MAMS. We learned the hard way that this is not a safe place (emotionally, or physically) for our child.

Very active school and great. It's very open to students. Their rules aren't limited and it's pretty much carefree
